I have five cats and a pile of vintage solid-state home audio equipment.

I read half of your entire boxofbetty blog to my parents once.
It inspired my dad to send me the 1959 Betty Crocker's Guide to Easy Entertaining: How to Have Guests - And Enjoy Them.
(There are lots of excellent pieces of advice that I would never follow but that my grandmother, apparently, did all the time.)
(One day we will have a party and follow all of them)

 

The current run of cards for "Men's Favorites" is kind of dull. But the next series is CHILDREN'S PARTIES! There are some true disasters in there.

The plan is also to eat ritz crackers with, like, roe on them because we're poor college students pretending to be posh.

 

Brie is cheaper and carries a lot of the same connotations. (It's a disgusting cheese though.)
