Cold but sweating?

Allenna I am not a Dragon. Or a Robot. Really.

So for the last two months I've woken up several times a night drenched in sweat, and its getting worse as it gets colder. In fact I'll be freezing and soaked from sweat! It mostly happens at night, but I'm sitting here wrapped in a bath robe with cold fingers and nose waiting for the house to heat up -- and my back is sweaty.

    Help?

It sounds like night sweats. I don't know all the causes of it, but for me it was a side-effect of tylenol I was taking to keep a fever down. You should probably bring it up with a doctor.

I'll see if I can't convince mom to let me see one. I talked to my Pysch about it, but I told see her again for another two months.

Okay, this has potential to be pretty serious. We call this a B-symptom in Dutch, and it's something I am always required to ask about in patients, because it can point to cancer. It can also sometimes be a side effect of medication.

You really need to see a doctor about this. What medication are you on? If you want I can check to see if this a reported side effect for the medication you're taking :)

I've also had the same thing from night terrors/bad nightmares (but you'd probably notice if you were always waking up soaked in sweat from awful nightmares, as opposed to just in general).

I get this every time I have a fever, but the notable thing there is that it passes in a couple of weeks; not doing so could well be more concerning.

It would probably be helpful if I could remember if its been continual or if I just notice when it happens. I am currently running a fever, and my period is hella late.
