Occasionally I run across folks I feel might really benefit from the advice of people here. However, I also think that many would only benefit to advice given delicately, which the forum as a whole doesn't always do well. Thoughts, anecdotes, or ideas on how to gently introduce people?
I just send people over. If they're uncomfortable approaching things directly, just having a community (I am told there is fandom stuff and RPs and general discussion and sending someone to a specific thread, like 'oh hey this is a thing you like' or 'this is funny' could be one approach) that talks frankly about mental health and abuse stuff when it comes up and is pretty accepting can help through gentle osmosis.
