A show I haven't actually watched myself yet, but have been meaning too since I saw the initial, titular tweet about it. Plus the lady who runs their social media account played my game and liked it so I feel like I really should to repay the favour. What's a basic pitch so I know what to expect? Aside from, y'know. Dragon. Dragon big. Any major content warnings, or is it a relatively chill ride?
Pretty cute show. Anime-stylized CG that I’m about 90% certain was based on someone’s Dungeons and Dragons campaign. The only dragon we’ve seen in non-flashbacks is about the size of a watermelon, though. (also it was super cute ^x^) *eta* Content... canon-typical violence, if we assume D&D = canon? Some kinda clumsy fantasy racism, and some brainwashy-culty stuff aimed at the elven assassin by her commanding officer, including a cursed armband situation that gets pretty painful-looking as the show goes on. Oh, and the Evil Visir says some creepy stuff to his kids, implying to each separately that they are to sacrifice the other if it looks like it will help them complete their mission. Nothing that struck me as upsetting enough to kill the mood for a table full of typical RPG players, all else being equal.

I'm intending to go non-spoiler as much as possible. That kinda precludes talking about everything but pointing out aspie-moments. Or pointing out other moments that are Claudia-relatated. Alright, there might be a little bit of "hey, this is a heavy thing that I'll want to discuss in-depth in a special room where people who don't want to talk about it can avoid" but it will be a very short thing where I just state what happens and use the codeword for "hey, this is a heavy thing that I'll want to discuss in-depth in a special room where people who don't want to talk about it can avoid"
That works for me. I don't know if anyone would be interested in discussing the heavy thing in-depth live but you could put it here under spoilers! Just make sure you warn for the kind of heavy topic in the heading of the spoiler itself so people know what to expect and you should be good C:
I think I'm good with that. Let me put things out where some people can see it and other people can choose not to see it. Just shrugg it off if people have the option to not see it and take that option.
I should clarify that if I end up hosting any kind of watch thing it would probably be very tiny, as in "and significant others only", unless I was having a really good talking day and felt like being in a room with a lot of other people
That's fair, I didn't understand the scope of the original offer! I might host a separate watch party down the line then, after my first viewing in a smaller setting 'cause I also have trouble first time viewing in larger groups.
Do we take this as a general thread? I want to talk s2 spoilers... I can assume this is the dragon prince gen thread right. Or would it be better somewhere else?
