So, I´ve seen folk around here mention liking her music, and thought I´d make a thread for her. Also experiencencing painful Asylum FWVG hm..nostaliga? I always loved the concept of the Asylum that is an actual sanctuary, in the original meaning of the word. In some ways, Kintsugi seems to be a bit like that ideal EA had, that didn´t quite work out. Speaking of which. There is a lot of drama in the EA fandom, but I´d like this thread to be a positiv place. Her music means a lot to a lot of people, so please be kind. If it sounds like it belongs in Fine Imported Drama, please make a thread there for discussing it.
I've only ever heard one song but I liked it so I'm going to go listen to more as soon as I remember to and have good headphones.

It was Scavenger but tbh anything you can recommend is good, my taste in music is "yes" and so I will listen to almost anything
I was a huge fan of EA during her Opheliac era. I saw her in concert once, wore a damn corset and everything, and was uncomfortable all night, but it was worth it. I was kind of sad when the official forums got shut down.

Wow. EA got me through a lot, and she's actually one of the reasons I'm here! Like, in a life saving sense, I guess maybe, but mostly because people I knew showed me cool things and one fandom led to another, and I met awesome people. I used to hang out a ton on the official EA forums, when they were a thing, before they got too dramatic. I'm not into her stuff as much now- maybe because I don't need it in the same way? But I still get super nostalgic for that period of time, and will still go to her concerts and listen to her music.
Also I have to tell you she kissed me once. On the neck. And signed the ass of my bloomers while I was wearing them.

Emilie Autumn is fucking great. I really like listening to the Enchant album to knock me out when I can't sleep. Her music got me through a lot of my mom's freakouts.
SHE CAN PLAY VIOLIN AND SING I WANT TO BE HER WHEN I GROW UP. (seriously though, I listened to her a lot in my angsty fourteen-year-old days but her lyrics are still fucking real)
Oh man, her Opheliac era got me through tough times too. For awhile her music was tainted for me by a toxic sucking pit of drama that was a former friend but I just need my jams too much to let it get me down for long.
SO APPARENTLY SHE AND SENTER ARE GETTING MARRIED ACCORDING TO A RECENT SERIES OF TWEETS. She can actually play 32 different instruments, I think.
I heard, and I really hope this relationship works out for her, he seems to make her quite happy. Is there a list somewhere? That sounds incredible.
I like EA's music. I'm more of a casual fan, admittedly, and I did personally find the one EA show I went to to be a bit disappointing (probably just because it wasn't what I was expecting), but I do enjoy her music a lot. Oddly, I'm not as big on Enchant--Opheliac is my fave, and while FLAG had some issues, I liked it on the whole. Enchant isn't bad, but it's not really my style. (Except for What If, which is fucking heartbreaking and I love it.)

So therés a very affordable ebook version of her book supposed to come out June or Juli. I preordered on the grounds that even if the book is late, 3 euros is survivable.
I've only ever listened to Opheliac but that album means a lot to me, so many survivor feels. I really should investigate the rest of her stuff sometime.
