so for quite a bit now i've been called an emo, and i eventually got the nerve to look up what exactly that meant and to be honest the definition on google was pretty spot on for me. almost punk-esk style, like semi-rock/metal music that is toned down and has more of a story to it than other kinds of things. but then i went and reserched it some more and for the most part people have a very, uh, rough idea of people like this. i've seen most of the things saying people who are emo are 15 - 17 year olds who are over emotional, wanna be goths who create their own sub-culture of semi-scene children to seem cool. it was honestly really insulting some of the things that ive seen and i dont even know if im the 'newer' term of emo. but i wanted somewhere to talk about these sorts of things because i figure its not really accurate for outsiders to tell me what being emo means. so, in other words, am i emo, are you emo, and what does that mean in the long run? what sort of things do we enjoy commonly, or are we all just random interests? i personally love horror movies, gothic-esk clothing, and the type of music listed above. hbu?
