follow-up report: meenah has indeed been purring loudly lately. i thought i was joking but she's genuinely learning to do the meowpurr, and her 'let me into the refrigerator to lick the plastic bags pretty please' trill has become almost operatic.

i love these small predatory vertebrates and all their shenanigans so very much.

This thread is making me so happy, you guys.

I'm pretty sad at the moment b/c at 19 Lupin is definitely entering the twilight of her years (she can no longer eat dry food, has a fucked-up tongue that may or may not be cancerous and worries me so much I can't go back to sleep if I wake in the night and she's not there) and while looking on pet adoption websites to try and consider the After makes me feel like I'm betraying her somehow, this thread is just Good.

So thankyou guys for posting. Love you all and every kitty you guys post about :)
