Hi, I'm the little pink beast, I'm finally here. I'm kind of shy and don't talk much but I'm trying to work on that. Trans girl, various brainweirds, I try to write stuff occasionally and don't get very far on it, also I paint wargame miniatures and try to play them when I can. It is super true! Unless something happens in the meantime. But the jerky is in the oven right now and will eventually be ready. Probably needs at least a couple-few more hours though.
What kind of wargame miniatures? I must admit to a little bit of a Warhammer 40K habit AKA "plastic crack".
We were thinking Warmachine/Hordes, I think? It's awesome. If I identify as a trans girl too, and we play a match, we are guaranteed that a trans girl will lose (unless it's a draw), and that makes the entire game transmisogyny.
I should probably get into Warmachine at some point too. Overall the wallet drain is lower, but 40K has been a thing since I was a teenager and that makes a difference alas.
I played 40K and Fantasy for a while, but there's a constant investment to keep up with new rules and changes to models that I couldn't afford or justify once I didn't have a place or the time to play regularly. I still love the setting and thematics, though. WM/H is very different as a game, and it's entirely possibly to like one and not the other.
speaking of miniatures, do you think at some point you could help me alter/paint my murphy mini? i don't know what paint works on plastic minis or anything.
Probably! I think I can fit paints and things into my bag for tonight, and you can come down and poke at things if you feel up to it.
that would be rad :D also i have taken up coloring as a chill-out activity and might hang out downstairs with you guys and work on that while you wargame, if that's cool
