i'm pin! i'm from tumblr but came here because it was recommended by people i follow and because this community seems a lot more chill than tumblr. that said, i'm still on tumblr, and that probably won't stop being a thing until a) i get tired of it, b) something that allows me to organize my interests better comes along, and/or c) my friends all migrate to some other weird microblogging platform. useful information about me that would have been longer had i not thought i was oversharing a bit too much: likes: stories, reading (fiction--webcomics, comics, manga, books + nonfiction), writing, drawing, crafts (beading+knitting+maybe sewing and embroidery eventually), computers (i'd specifically like to learn more about coding), music (most kinds, with a soft spot for techno), video games, D&D, psychology, sociology, and the study of communication (which i am currently doing in college!). brainweird: ADHD and OCD, but have wondered off and on for at least 4 years if i'm autistic or not. psychiatrist says that "sometimes a cigar is just a cigar," but previous therapists haven't completely disputed the idea despite not giving me a straight answer. reason why not attributing it to OCD is because it feels different than Usual OCD Things. all that said, i am a bit of a lurker, so i don't know how much i'll actually post, but i thought i might as well introduce myself. :>
hi! it's nice to be here! :> i'm not really sure how to forums, so this is going to be a bit of an adventure i guess? an adventure in forums-ing.
hi and plenty of the people here are still on tumblr, btw, so Still Being On Tumblr is totes okay with kintsugi.
hi! i kind of figured but it's still good to reiterate i think! i was mostly noting that to clarify that i hadn't left tumblr.
hi, and thank you! it's part of a larger image that appears in the ending credits of gatchaman crowds season 1, which is one of my favorite anime. there's lots of bright colors, the use of unconventional problem-solving, a female protagonist, and it has Found Family vibes going on, which i really, really like! what i've seen of the second season is good, too, but i haven't finished it yet and will in fact probably need to start over since it's been so long. ^^;
hello! i really liked gatchaman crowds too, for pretty much the same reasons. what are some of your favorite video games?
ahhhh it's always nice to meet people who like gcrowds. i'm not sure if there's a thread for it in fantown soooo maybe that's a Thing i should do after i finish watching season 2??? as for video games: generally, i'd say i'm a fan of RPGs with good and/or really fun stories and good game mechanics (there's a Reason why i refuse to play kingdom hearts re:chain of memories). specifically, i really like fire emblem (awakening and fates), but i'm also excited for the new pokemon games, and obviously kingdom hearts 2.8, although i won't get to play the latter because i don't have the right system for it. i also like the games supergiant games make (i'm still in the process of playing transistor) and child of light! undertale is cool too but i haven't gotten very far yet. i really enjoyed the world ends with you and fantasy life as well! thanks for asking! i wouldn't say i'm a Huge Gamer but i do really enjoy games so it's always fun to talk about the ones i like. :>
me too, to a degree! it ate my brain for a good chunk of time last year, where all i would do is play it (i got master in all the lives before beating the game). that...usually happens with games i super enjoy though (fire emblem: awakening and fire emblem: fates are good examples of that). my favorite life is probably wizard, but i liked all of the classes to some degree. the story was super cute, too--i'm not sure there were really any characters i outright disliked at the end of the game.
Welcome! Seconding the love for your icon, the colors are very pretty. :D What's some of your fave fiction?
thanks on both accounts! :> as for my fave fiction...there is SO much that i like, but i still love homestuck and don't foresee that stopping anytime soon (i'm relatively excited for hiveswap to come out!!! + maybe the epilogue since hussie took down the "homestuck has ended" news update), gatchaman crowds is really good, steven universe is *wonderful* and i'm definitely excited for the new stuff that's coming up, and i love love love magical girl stuff and fairy tales. it probably isn't surprising that fantasy is my favorite genre. as for stuff i'm currently into: i'm currently reading age of myth by michael j. sullivan, and i'm still in the process of watching the new voltron reboot and mahou tsukai precure, the latest in the precure series (which i really need to catch up on). i *was* also playing fire emblem: fates earlier this summer, but i sort of dropped off after obsessively playing it for months. i want to finish it sometime before the summer ends, though--it's just a manner of getting back into the habit of playing. however, i might play rhapsody: a musical adventure first because the person who has it (my roommate/moirail) is moving out soon. thanks for asking! i love talking about the stuff i like. :>
thanks! both are lots of fun, even though i tend to be more of a lurker than a contributor. i'm hoping to maybe write fanfic for homestuck someday though??? i just have to reread canon and more fanfic before i do in order to get character voices down. not sure i could come up with fic for SU, though.
