I'm Key, @Elaienar's sister. She's been trying to get me to come here ever since, as far as I can tell, this site was opened. Today I finally caved and came to read and could not resist the urge to make an account. So hi everyone, this seems like a pretty amazing place full of cool people and I'm looking forward to reading more!
:) Thanks! The Crab Nebula is one of the coolest objects out there, IMO - it featured heavily in my thesis. Sometime when I have an hour or two to get my thoughts together, I will write a massive post in the science thread about pulsars and pulsar wind nebulae.
@WithAnH Oooo I'll be looking forward to that! Especially if it includes pictures! =3 @unknownanonymous @Elaienar drew it for me a few months ago, actually. It's currently my favourite picture of me.
@Key i see why it is. the colour scheme is really unified and yeah... it looks really good. also, i'm guessing that you like wearing hoodies. hoodies are awesome!
@Key There will be pictures! Multiwavelength composite images! Spectra! Animated gifs! Nice to have you here. :)
@unknownanonymous Yes I do like wearing hoodies! But sadly I only have two and the one featured in the picture (which is my favourite of the two) is missing... I probably packed it up before going to visit my gran and forgot where I packed it. Oh well. @WithAnH YES! Okay I'm super excited now. =D
@unknownanonymous Yes and actually one is a knit black sweater hoodie that I wear with just about everything... beats me why I like the plain grey one better! Maybe because it was my aunt's. (I'd probably like it even better if it had the lovely pattern Elai gave it for the picture.)
@unknownanonymous It's a pale grey. Kind of flecked, like they used various shades of grey for the threads it was knit with, but definitely grey and definitely no awesome pattern. Not that I mind! I just think my sister is way more creative than the hoodie designer was!
Greetings, @Starcrossedsky ! @unknownanonymous Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure it's the only grey thing I have... I don't buy grey because, much as I like it, I'm still trying to narrow down the number of colours I use in my wardrobe so it's easier to make outfits with everything I have and easier to make sure any new thing I buy will go with lots of things I already own.
@unknownanonymous My mother started reading a blog a few years ago about how to use a few items to make a ton of outfits. At the time I was still trying to find my style and had too many clothes - most of them were from my aunt so they were especially hard to get rid of - and listening to her talk about it really helped me put things together. I still wear jeans and a t-shirt more often than anything else, (mostly because I hate doing laundry and I have more of those so they last longer between laundry sessions) but I have a much better idea of what kinds of things make me feel happy when I wear them, and wear those things as often as possible.
