So, I'm looking at getting a new laptop, as my current one is suffering, I think there's an issue with the motherboard, possibly caused by a power short/issue in the psu. It isn't really worth the effort to fix at this point, I'd have to replace the motherboard. I've already decided to just replace it... which is where my issue is arising. Do I get a refurbished surfacebook? This gives me a tablet, and a laptop in one unit. They're apparently pretty decent for drawing, and they can work for light gaming, which is what I want. I could also get a pretty decent laptop with what I have now, and then get a surface pro 4 later. That would give me a decent laptop, and the drawing tablet for later, but i'd have to wait, and i'd essentially be getting two computers, which, beyond the coolness factor is why I was interested in the surfacebook. 2 in 1!
I personally would go for a laptop and then a Surface Pro, solely because the Surface Book doesn't seem to have a ton of storage capacity and that's something I personally find important...but that depends on how much storage you need.
Also, I did decide on the laptop and then tablet later, as it was cheaper and I could get a better computer.
