Hello! We don't bite, and even when we disagree with each other, sharing opinions on Serious Stuff is a key way for us to grow and establish opinions of our own. Your thoughts matter! And they're just as important as everyone else's.
Hi I have a similar issue which I am slowly trying to make better! This is a good place to practice making assertions and to develop opinions. You won't be imposing by joining in various discussions and sharing your thoughts on them!
Unserious stuff and jokes are also important! We had so much jokey roleplaying for a while that we discussed and established a forum guideline about sending role players out of threads when we derail too long. So if you're more comfortable with not serious stuff, likely you'll find people who enjoy it.
