Making a separate thread for gathering thoughts on this, as I was asked to do. If anyone wants to join in, please do! I'll assemble as many possible clues as I can.
Okay, as I said in Fandom Gripes I'm disappointed Xefros seems to fit most strongly with the Page class and not the Sylph, Mage, Thief, or Bard because those are the ones unused by the humans in Homestuck and I am a total completionist... I could possibly maybe see him as Mage on the "one who suffers from their aspect" interpretation. The Mage is supposed to have knowledge of their aspect and I wouldn't say Xefros has much knowledge of negative emotions, but I'm not sure Meulin has good knowledge of the self aspect of Heart so I could see him as an unrealised Mage, possibly.
I pegged Diemen and Tagora as Seers when all I had to go on was their sprites on the grounds that their eyes were covered, and I'm slightly disappointed they don't seem to be; I think they're both Thieves instead, which is also cool though. Diemen makes repeated references to stealing food and accuses the player of trying to as well, and Tagora's basically an extortionist and also has the "putting up a tough front" behaviour Vriska does.
Skylla seems to have a lot of Knight symbolism going on. Hope she isn't, I was hoping not to get repeats.
Going through the Friendsim and checking off any archetype imagery which shows up, seeing if that'll give clues. Diemen; Huge Thief. Ardata: I'm leaning Witch but I can't really know anything till I know her aspect. Amisia: Probably Maid, Witch if not that. Cirava: Don't know, could be Maid/Sylph, Heir/Witch, or Seer/Mage. Sollux similarities make me think Mage. Skylla: Lot of giver/protector references and some healer as well. Reads like a Knight, but she's Time and I kind of hope we aren't getting repeats. Still, she's also Prospit, so not too similar to Dave, I guess.
Bronya: Again, giver/protector and healer; Maid, Sylph, or Knight seems most likely. Possibly Knight on the grounds that the Maid and Sylph classes are what jades are all supposed to be like, and she's using Breath-related freedom in the sense of "not technically illegal" to protect the babies. Tagora: Thief again. He's extorting money from the player, he "takes/runs with" the player's initiative in both routes and takes the credit for their ideas, he's putting up a Vriska-like confidence front, and his lusus is a ferret, the very Latin name of which means thief. Vikare: Seems to be taking imagery from all three of the Pages we already know - Jake's dialect, Tavros's blood, horns, and flying focus, and Horuss' permanent grin. Will have to watch his route again to see if he seems to fit that.
Joey has an awful lot of Light symbolism going on but doesn't really seem to be very Light-like in personality according to the Extended Zodiac. I could maybe see her thing for puzzles as being seeking knowledge or luck, maybe? I'm still disappointed she probably isn't a Sylph of Doom, but if I had to pick an aspect it would definitely be Life. What does anyone else think?
Folykl I could see as a Thief or a Mage. Popular fanon holds that Mages must suffer from their aspect, and she definitely is doing so, but she's also more obviously using Void to take.
Examined Skylla further, and she's screaming passive class to me because she's at her best when helping others; she helps the player and her good end comes from allowing her to put herself in harm's way to save her lusus. I was thinking Knight because she fights to protect Ladyy and MSPA Reader and Serves Reader food; on closer inspection I could also see Sylph, because she Makes Time for people, creates food for Reader's succour, and heals them by letting them spend Time in her sopor slime. We don't know much about Remele yet but "takes your shit and makes it better" is making me think Rogue or Heir, or possibly a duplicate Thief of Space with Tagora; she both Steals and Changes created material.
Who Is This looks like a Bard to me because of a) Gamzee resemblance and b) breaking the fourth wall in the way Gamzee did, though it's not clear if the latter's a Rage thing instead. Probably too obvious though.
Diemen's name has settled him in my mind as a Thief; it's from Van Diemen's Land and Mexicali, one being a place criminals were transported and one being a place with a high crime rate.
At least one of Galekh, Tyzias, and Stelsa is likely a Mage. Their names all pertain to knowledge; Tisias was the founder of Greek rhetoric, "Galekh" means priest and "Xigisi" means explanation, and Sezyat bears a resemblance to Seshat, the Egyptian goddess of writing and maths.
