I've already told my mum, and told my nan without really using the word, but I'm not sure how to tell my dad or sister. My sister is contrary and will take any opportunity to argue with me or try to correct me on things I know better than she does, and my dad is really awkward about talking about sex with us. It's especially hard to explain because I've had a relationship and am still in the it's-complicated type. I don't really know what to say.
I never told my family directly, I just started sharing asexuality-related things on Facebook. And I guess they figured it out because I went over to feed their cats once while they were out of town and there was an article about asexuality left open on their kitchen table. Is that an option for you?
