evilas Sure, I'll put a custom title here

I need to Real Life Friend someone at some point.
I've heard rumors that there is a magical way to use Pokemon Go to be able to achieve this but so far I've had no luck. College also seems to be out of the realm of possibilities. And nobody I know online lives in my country.
I'm also more comfortable talking online in English instead of Spanish so that makes making online friends that live in my country much more difficult. Also I haven't talked to my High School friends in over 2 years. And they now live somewhere that is not this country so they're not available either.

    Please help?

i'm also unsure of how to do the friendship thing. advice i see given a lot includes joining a club or some other group of people with similar interests, and then from there its probably a matter of talking to people and keeping in touch with them? idk how to friendship and i don't know how to tell if my level of familiarity with someone would count as friendship. so uh

idk im just going to knitting group and lgbt youth group and trying to be social, idk if its working at all

I, too, could use advice. I have IRL friends, but most of them live like, an hour away at least. :(

I think it's going to be hard to make friends with Pokemon go now that the hype has died down. A couple years ago, I went from zero friends to at least 6 or 7 by by going to Homestuck meetups, cosplaying at conventions and joining a story gaming group. You can also meet people by volunteering as staff at a convention, it's a good way to be introduced to the truely dedicated nerds in your area.

My advice is to find an event/club/group that interests you and pluck up the courage to go. The only way to make IRL friends is to put yourself out there in the real world.
