welcome to kintsugi! where being awkward and introverted is pretty much the norm, so no worries there. also your icon is very cute (*awkward commiserating highfive over religion and gender issues)
You could direct that to one of the gender threads, or there's a religion thread a few pages back in Top Serket, but no pressure. edit: though now that I'm actually looking for it, I can't find the religion thread, but it's there somewhere
Hiii! :D What sorts of hobbies do you have? Do you like certain kinds of music over others? Also, have you ever tried to have a penpal?
I was fairly good at singing before I got sicker, I want to build back up. And I used to play trumpet as a kiddo but parents stopped letting me try any music when a piece broke and they didn't feel like getting it repaired. I'm not able to play stringed things very well, or at least guitar from my fingers.. but I've wanted to learn piano or violin for ages. I love music a lot but don't understand how it functions if that makes sense? xD Was your writing fan work or original work? :D And do you have a DeviantArt or somewhere else you post things? We have drawing threads as well if you ever feel like showing draws! I had penpals too, and they too stopped writing. Some because they got busy apparently, others dropped off the face of the planet. One in Osaka dropped me because I stopped being able to send pictures of things every few weeks bc expensive for me at the time, and apparently my lack of camera obsession (their newest hobby) was boring. I'm hoping to find new ones in the future, once I learn where my post office is around here. :O For past penpal stuff were you an All Over World person or did you have interests in certain countries?
Oh, gosh. Well. I'm mostly stuck to sedentary things in my own home because of medical conditions rn. I write fan works and loosely plot some original things, but currently original work is going towards trying to learn comic medium and hone my drawings with that and fan work. If I'm able to access it without almost keeling over, /love/ swimming and being near moving water if at all possible. When I was younger I used to love riding horseback. I've been trying to learn Japanese very slowly over several years, and I retain just enough to struggle when I forget. I've got the ability to mimic sounds on my side, but that doesn't help much when you can't remember the words themselves ahaha. Ah, I also like videogames a good deal, and some basic crafting. I'd love to do things with clay, I heard it's great for physical therapy and it just generally looks really fun. I also have a cat! Precious flufflord of a black and white tuxedo darling who pesters me endlessly, named Kricket. We hope to get a dog someday, probably a pug or a longhaired mini Dachshund since I grew up with one.
If I had my way I'd live by a great lake or the Ocean. We're in Ohio now, but entertain the idea of someday going much further North. I can falter through a conversation very brokenly, but probably get a few answers with that and pantomime. It worked in Italy for the few years we were there. :D; I had a hard time learning Italian and then was mostly housebound anyway, so the few times I had to converse in it, I'd zone in on a key word and pantomime.. or I'd inflect from signs whose words reminded me of other words with a fairly decent success rate. Love me some old games, oof. Bubsy on SNES was so much fun I've played it on emulator, and the re-release of Link To The Past as well. I like expansive games like Fallout and Skyrim, or I'll get nostalgic and play FF7 or 9. If there's a story and objectives to follow I'll play through. I -really- liked Fable as well! Computer games.. My internet is awful connective issues but I like simple solo games. I recently was playing Game Dev Tycoon and Papers, Please. I also really like Animal Crossing, and Happy Home Designer. :D Luigi's Mansion was good times too. And Mario always makes me smile (when not screaming in frustration..)
