I'm mildly concerned I've got... something happening. I know I need to see a doctor first and foremost, but I thought I would see if anyone has experienced similar things: I nearly constantly have a lowkey headache. Drinking water doesn't necessarily help. The headache is just kinda... there. It feels either like mild pressure or just... achey. It's usually on both sides of my head, but sometimes gets concentrated to one side Maybe the last week or two, I can't really run or even do exercise like yoga because my legs just. Hurt. Kinda like a cramp but not really? It just hurts and I have to stop I'm always tired but lmao what else is new. But I do feel like I'm more tired lately, and I'm napping way more than usual Random mild joint pain My stomach is getting way madder at me lately than normal. I ate freaking porridge this morning, something I normally eat, and it started hurting My concentration and memory are somehow even worse than normal Any ideas??? Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read this!
That sounds like Something, but I don't know what and I'm not a doctor. Can you see a doctor? (All I know about chronic pain is what they call it when the more standard causes have been ruled out. I don't know what those more standard causes are.)
I've experienced that constellation of symptoms before with the fever portion of the stomach flu, but I think it could be a lot of things. Whatever it is, it sounds systemic. A doctor does seem like the best idea. I hope you feel better soon.
That sounds like some kind of deficiency. Like, doctor soon is good, but also - do you take a multivitamin or drink gatorade ever? I know this is on the very obvious/do you do yoga end of stuff, but it generally takes me two weeks of barely being able to do the stairs before I remember that my chronic anemia is a thing, and I get hideously exhausted if I'm low on electrolytes.
@a tiny mushroom would you mind if I showed the op post to my mom? It sounds an awefull lot like her just before she was diagnosed with an iron deficiency. Or, just told her the symptoms.
The last time I had that set of symptoms I went to the doctor and she said "Ok, that could be a lot of things, first let's see if it's the flu that's going around campus." Turns out it was, so I never did find out what other things it could be. As a member of club Exec Dysfunction I know how hard it can be to get together the momentum to see the doctor, especially when you're sick on top of it, but if it's lasted a couple weeks you've probably eliminated things like the flu that resolve themselves.
My partner gets most of those symptoms (not the angry digestive system, but the rest of it) during their intermittent bouts of magnesium deficiency. Usually drinking two or three of those disgusting "sports drinks" like gatorade or powerade makes them feel better short term. If you haven't tried that yet, they're so cheap it might be worth a shot while you're waiting for your doctor appointment? All you have to lose is your tastebuds. Yuck.
That's fine! It'd be great to hear what she has to say I just called the doctor finally omg. I'm seeing her tomorrow afternoon, but like I have to get the results of an unrelated blood test anyway aha. I'm on my way home now so I'll stop at the shops and buy some Gatorade and pray. Would rehydration solutions like Hydrolyte do the same thing?
Soo I think y'all might've been right about the electrolyte thing. I drank the Suspicious Red Drink yesterday, and today I was able to run for a bus and do yoga without my legs screaming bloody murder, so!!! I mean I did get random shooting pains from my left him to my leg when I stood up from my chair in class but I mean apart from that!
Yay awesome! Glad you're feeling slightly better. It is a deep and personal insult to me that Suspicious Red Drink and its ilk are actually useful for anything. They seem like such a scam I don't want them to be effective, and resent it when they are. But I'm very glad they (possibly) did you some good.
