Okay, so there's this online comic that starts out as a parody of classic video games, with fairly simple graphics, but grows in scope increasingly and the graphics get more and more elaborate while keeping within its original constraints. Eventually it becomes a deconstruction of video game tropes along with a meditation on universal themes of free will and - no, not Homestuck. A slightly smaller one. Kid Radd.
Oh daaaaamn I LOVED Kid Radd. I read it a lot of times actually many years back. It's going to be dated now, a little in content because it references/is inspired by some OLD games, and in the humor because... hm... alright so.... there are several love hina jokes that I recall, and wow It isn't reaching back, the comic is that old. Super worth the read. Looks a little weird these days, I still like some of those plot twists. Maybe they were more shocking and amazing when I was small and new to the world, but still.
shotgunned it in a couple hours, and i liked it. the message was nice and the character development was really good. a+ would read again.
