i know this is probably a super old game discussion wise by now but i just finished playing odin sphere and i love it. i loved gwen and oswald, and their whole fucked up deal with being tools for people who finally get to have people treat them like people when it comes to each other. i found myself surprisingly attached to their storyline (m/f partnerships usually are hard to connect to for me.... but their particular concoction of dependency, past abuse and encouraging each others' autonomy really got me). anyone have any thoughts / fanfic recs / anything else?
Mmm I wish I had more. I loved the graphics and I wish I had finished the game, but I got stuck on a boss real bad and just couldn't. I also got pretty invested in Gwen and Oswald!
did you try flipping it to easy mode? there's no shame in that. tbqh i played the whole thing on easy mode. (or there's, you know, more grinding... eventually any character can p much level up to where they take out a boss easy) I'm glad someone else got invested in those two though. I loved all those characters, but those two made the game for me.
I was amazingly bad at playing this game but the story and art sucked me in. :D I was actually recently thinking of replaying it at some point...
