hi i'm deresto and i don't quite get how forums work, feel free to correct me if i do something wrong. i love video games. i mostly play platform or handheld because i didn't learn until very recently that plugging in a gamepad to your computer was a thing you could do. i love homestuck way too much, i consume fanfiction for breakfast and lunch (even fandoms i'm not in? i just love reading), um i'm not necessarily GOOD at the talking to people thing but i enjoy it most days so feel free to give me a holler whenever you want. i love cartoons because most of them are really pretty. if i could have any job in the world i'd own a bookstore/cafe with a basement level devoted to many forms of nerdiness that anyone could access and feel safe in.
Ooh. Bookstore/cafe planning was how I got through sophomore year except ours had a bar level, and was called Books on Tap ...one day...
oh geez, there are so many! i'll go backwards through time cause i still love the stuff i grew up with just as much. i love the newer stuff, like gravity falls, steven universe, 7D, the newest ninja turtles, legend of korra, the amazing world of gumball, star and the forces of evil, over the garden wall. then there's there's the Age of No TV Service i went through where everything i got was from saturday mornings, so xiaolin showdown, dragon ball z, spider riders, mucha lucha, fighting foodons, ultimate muscle, mega man star force, x-men evolution, the old (still newer) ninja turtles, and 4kids version of one piece, and even though it wasn't animated i'd wake up super early to watch bill nye and beakman's world because science is a wonderful thing. spread throughout the Age of No TV Service were sporadic trips to grandma's which i discovered courage the cowardly dog, kids next door, fairly odd parents, spongebob, phineas and ferb, invader zim, danny phantom, kim possible, powerpuff girls, dexter's lab, johnny bravo, and ed edd and eddy. around this time was also when i discovered that: 1. you could watch cartoons online 2. there was such a thing as an "adult" cartoon. being the (not so) rebellious tween i was, i got super into the venture bros, aqua teen hunger force, and futurama. i also found bravest warriors. and about a zillion years before any of that, when i was a wee tyke, i loved scooby doo and looney toons. oh yeah there was also that one vhs of fantasia i nearly played to death. i love fantasia so much. i actually havent seen much of a few of these (lok, star and the forces of evil, phineas and ferb, 7D) but i couldn't resist adding them because they are SO PRETTY. i think i forgot a few. i love cartoons.
yay! xiaolin showdown! fairly oddparents! (are you familiar with norm the genie, my fave fop character?) gravity falls, legend of korra and steven universe are cool. i really like wirt's aesthetic, and it's probs my fave thing about otgw. star vs. forces of evil's too new for me to have an opinion.
i've seen an episode with norm, he's really cool. it was the one where he fooled chester into making him eligible to be a fairy god parent. i haven't really watched anything serially since before poof was born, so i'm kind of (very) behind.
nice. i think you might be the only other person i've seen on here whose familiar with him. that was fairy idol, the ep you watched. norm only has two other eps, genie meanie moe and back to the norm, which were both pre-poof era. gmmm is first, bttn is next and fairy idol, the ep you've seen, is last.
KND!!!! <3 I'm pretty sure that I ran away and didn't let them decomission me. ;P DANNY PHANTOM =DDD So good! I'm gonna rewatch it one of these days
have you ever visited a board game cafe? i've been to one a few times and they're a heck of a lot of fun, and would probably fit in well with the rest of your cafe.
i've never been to one but it sounds really great and basically pretty similar to what id like. i'd love for it to be one of those "a little of everything" sort of places, for games and fiction and tea and fun :).
