Concept: Queenie. Magical girl who is architecture themed and can set up "castles" or magical defenses. Pretty stong mojo, but her attacks are limited to"throw a brick at it" and a few other things you can do with castles and heavy things.
Queenies real name is Sachiko, she is Queen Of Castles.

General attitude of "Fuck this shit". She´s a bit grumpy but not intentionally standoffish, kinda lonely and needs a hug.


Her shielded territory takes more power the larger it is, and it´s harder to move it around too. So she can either give everyone their own personal shield provided she can see everyone at once and isn´t distracted, or she can stake out an area or object and build a fortress around it.
The latter works better because only one shield which she doesn´t have to move, and takes less concentration and attention
Queenie also does best in a city because of the enviroment is closed off she can build houses into her defenses and make it harder for enemies to regain ground by pushing said defenses forward. Also they´rearchitecture themed so you can literally stand on them

I was actually wondering if Sachiko might have met Sayuri coming to her clinic. Also just noticed she´s going to be easily the most covered up out of anyone here. Her dress is knee length/lolita length. (Mostly cause i need room for intricate skirt details)

 

Probably! Sayuri found out about the COSMIC WAR when she was roughly sixteen, so she's been operating that clinic for nearly a decade now. Part of is that she can manipulate her power outwards from "plant control" to "living thing control" and use that to power magical healing; it only works on other magical girls, but that's a fair enough tradeoff for her.

Her recruiter went off to find a different girl to manipulate, but probably brings those girls in pretty regularly. They're probably the recruiter of Hanako, honestly, because the recuiters try to have set territories to operate in to avoid overburdening an area (or underprotecting a spot with high demon concentrations, because they have no incentive to let the other side do weapons testing free of charge.)

Sachiko is just like "Ok this cosmic war thing about killing all evil is BS, magical girl revolt when?"
Her recruiter had been selling the war to her as going out and ending the threat to humanity that is the demons. She´s on her own atm and basically fighting a siege + getting creative with her powers, so she shows up in need of healing pretty regularly.

 

Miyako... probably still plays nice with her recruiter mostly bc it's part of her big twenty step plan for ending the entire war on her lonesome what do you mean that's stupid you're stupid.
She might also maintain ridiculous notebooks with stats on all the other magical girls.

Please tell me she has them with random stats and ability charts like you used to see in manga, where all the attributes would be changed by person.

She definitely also has a map of the city with pins and newspaper cutouts on a wall that looks deceptively like a wall of crazy but she isn't crazy she knows this shit is actually going on it's for strategizing GOSH.

Sachiko uses her defenses as attacks aka architecture that hates you. Lots of traps

Sachiko has a hammer, it is magical for extra hitting power. and so she isn´t entirely useless without a team.

Sayuri's weapon is actually her claws (because half-cat) but she has a staff carved of oak for whacking people with that most people assume is summoned. It's not summoned. She just whacks people with it.

Hanako's weapon is actually her broom, though she has a little summon book she can use too; the book can manifest smaller objects out of light, but they disappear the moment it's closed, while her broom does lasers. So many lasers. And death orbs. And laser death orbs.

Alright, so some thoughts (I will put up doodles tomorrow) about the Recruiters:

All of them have cute, inoffensive forms, but the forms vary wildly; technically they're shapeshifters, and most of them tend to absorb the dominant cultural identifiers of friendly, trustworthy companion animals to better suit their purposes. This is for the same reason why they recruit young girls instead of adults: if they can train these girls into believing them before everyone else, they have an indoctrinated (and very powerful) assault force at their disposal.

Some of them might take shapes like imps or devils to take advantage of rebellious girls who are already inclined to violence and hunting for causes, but many of them stick to more angelic or fairy like shapes when they aren't animals, for broader appeal.

The only key features that are consistent across all of the Recruiters are:

• rainbow, iridescent eyes with no pupils
• relative size; none will be taller than a foot, most won't be smaller than six inches
• a band of light around some part of their body

With the light, most of them keep it around their neck like a collar, and the colors reflect the magical girls currently under contract. Most Recruiters have at least two, many have as high a count as ten, and some of the ones with the biggest success rates have rainbows where you can't discern individual colors anymore. As long as a girl is alive, she is considered under contract, no matter how distant her relation to her recruiter. Rainbow Recruiters frequently have entire legions of magical girls currently spread across the galaxy as part of COSMIC WAR.

(Recruiters also have instant trans-dimensional travel; magical girls can access this and the liminal spaces it provides (like Sayuri's clinic) by virtue of their contract with a Recruiter.)

It is, theoretically, possible to break a contract. You might even survive! But the Recruiters are very careful to make sure that this seems like an impossible option with most girls. (I'm leaving this open to y'all so you can do as you like with your Recruiters, whether you want to keep 'em or not.)

 

I don´t think Sachiko broke her contract, she just told her recruiter to fuck off and die. Wondering how sapient the demon critters are. Potential for cross faction friendships or alliances?

 

You might be able to talk it out with an Officer Demon (i.e., a demon that's evolved up from a basic form all the way up to something sustainable with intelligence) but the majority of the lower demons are functionally nonsentient, because that's not the kind of war that side wants to fight.

They're doing the magical equivalent of putting anthrax in the mail, while the Recruiters are making Navy SEALs.

edit: Which is to say there is absolutely a possibility of a Dark Magical Girl bonding episode where she learns what it means to be ~human~ but you probably won't get that out of your average demon that chestbursted from a dude cheating on his wife.
