Anyone else gotten hooked by this atrocious money-sink? I can't stop running around in big stompy robots, shredding other robots with lasers. My username is, unsurprisingly, "Southe", and I tend to run lights and fast mediums (Raven, Blackjack, Cicada, Viper) except I occasionally stroll around in a souped-up Ebon Jaguar or a Linebacker. I didn't realise there was an online Mechwarrior game, I had heard bits about something like one but thought it got closed down? I don't really have money and I tend to be bad at PVP but I have really fond memories of Mechwarrior 2 and 4-Mercenaries so I may have to give it a shot at some point. Any chance the Puma/Adder is in, or the Marauder IIC?
Nope! MWO is still working! I'm playing it right now! Sadly it is only PVP, but it's "technically" F2P, although paying real world money can get you special mechs and newly introduced mechs sooner. The Adder is in, and is in fact one of the more affordable clan mechs. The Maurader IIC is also in the game, but only as a pre-order thing for IRL money. They'll put it in for c-bills (in game currency) soon though.
