neko atsume (cat collecting)

so I just downloaded this app yesterday called neko atsume (in Japanese), which translates to "cat collecting."

you have a yard, and you put out food and toys. cats come by and you can name and photograph them, and when they leave they give you fish to buy more food and toys.

that is the whole game. I love it.

does anyone else play it? do you have tips for good yard setups? have you seen all the special cats?

 

i love neko atsume! i haven't seen all the special cats yet, but i think they only come out for certain items and i haven't gotten everything yet. trying to save up my gold fish to remodel my garden to something prettier.

if you haven't yet i'd recommend unlock the next room, it's at the end of the shopping pages. it adds more spots to put items down and it's a great first purchase using your gold fish even if it is kind of pricey. but having the extra slots means more items you can put down and more items means more silver and gold fish.

yeah, I am saving my gold fish to buy the inside room. I have twenty so far, so... 1/9 of the way there.

 

Android or iOS only?

 

I have it for iOS, no idea if it's available for android.

I really do need this game. It's basically Crazy Cat Lady: The Video Game.

 

I got this game yesterday and I like it a lot. I've been naming all my cats after Game of Thrones/ASoIaF characters.

 

I recently got Tubbs and I love him. I love him so much.

 

I've gotten Tubbs and Mr. Meowgi. Tubbs in fact I get like... EVERY DAY... because my yard always has The Good Shit™

 

There is a perfect Tubbs gif floating around the tumblrs.

 

Yeah, I first got Tubbs when he singlehandedly finished an entire plate of sashimi!

 

So i have yet to actually SEE any of the cats that keep coming to my yard, unfortunately, but they do come.

 

Yeah, I just gave it a shot today. The kitties are cute. They are my weakness. TvT

 

Out of curiosity, what are your favorite goodies? Personally I just LOVE the pile of leaves, and recently I got the Cardboard House and it is SO CUTE! Kotatsu is cute too, especially when you see nothing but a kitty butt poking out of it

 

I've got the kotatsu down right now and it's pretty excellent. Also a fan of the cardboard house and the fishbowl. :3

 

I want a Macaroon bed - I think they're so cute!
