iirc the more you record your dreams/nightmares, the more you're going to remember them. so that's normal.

also i think you've been thinking about a lot of trauma stuff lately which probably exasterbated the nightmare frequency

I dunno. Is it normal to have this many nightmares, trauma or no?

If you're focusing on the fact you're having nightmares, yes. You prob already know this but dreams happen most commonly during REM sleep, and since your brain and body are fairly active during that time, you're more likely to remember them.

When do you usually have your nightmares? I have mine during that transitional period of REM sleep right before I wake up, where I'm aware I'm asleep but there's nothing I can do about it. I've been told I have nightmares most commonly and almost all the time during that period because, since I'm conscious enough to know I'm asleep, I'm also conscious enough to know I can't move, and that scares me into having most nightmares.

I used to have nightmares fairly frequently as well. Not sure if having that many nightmares is normal, but I'm at least one other person who has had a period of having them almost every night.
