It occurs to me that, as much as I hear people complaining about the King James translation of the Bible, I'm not sure I know of any other English vernacular translation of the Bible.
This is not a state I am particularly interested in rectifying.

Okay, but people watching Game of Thrones after watching House of the Dragon and getting upset that a Baratheon (of all people!) has ended up on the Iron Throne is in fact really funny.

Once again playing the "I can't stop you from doing the thing, but I can make it annoying to do" game.

The worst thing about him rearranging the flow of the talk was that I lost the excuse to remind people of the existence of a very bad movie.

Watching one of my colleagues teach another one of my colleagues about Fortnite dancing. Not entirely sure how sincere either of them were being, but we were in public.

So my dream self can sort of remember the first several elements of the periodic table, but forgot that phosphorus abbreviates to P, not K (which is potassium) and so I thought it was an alkali metal.

There are apparently two owls in the woods near my place, and either they don't like each other or they really do like each other.
Either way it's noise that I usually don't hear.

New song idea: metal track about chemotherapy.
"When your own has turned against you
See how deep you will descend to
Drink the poison, hope you can withstand"

Basically, chemotherapy definitely is a desperate "I'll kill you or both of us" gambit against one you trusted who betrayed you in an attempt to gain immortality.

The problem with being the only person with the entire design in their head is that sometimes parts of the team argue with me because they've been black-boxing or ignoring chunks of the construction, and that causes other parts of the team to become concerned that the design isn't finalized because why else would we be arguing.

The other problem with it is that I've become de facto team-lead because I'm the only one who can actually say if a new idea will break other parts of the system.

Realizing that I'm really losing the ability to write math by hand rather than as LaTeX.

And once again reminded that my ability to do well in literature classes in school was more a function of being able to bullshit really well rather than any ability to actually do literary analysis.

Say what you will about King Charles but I honestly respect him a little more for that painting. Just really leaning into the evil old man bit.

It occurs to me that AO3 probably could support text input, so that Y/N stories could actually include a name. The input would have to be extremely sanitized, though, which is always hard.

Memes always evolve, but it is really interesting to me that the "useless lesbian" phrase changed from "not helping because too busy staring at ass" to "can't confess to love interest".

I don't have a dissociation problem. The person whose body I'm piloting has a dissociation problem.
    I just work here.
