Mostly I just avoid anything that bothers me, but some things I can't.

Like socks- the seams are evil. What I've found helps is to adjust it away from whatever part of your foot is most sensitive to it/what ever part the seam rubs against the most. Yes this kind of twists around the sock, but this is what socks without heels sewn into them are good for. There are also seamless socks, but I haven't gotten my hands on any of those yet.

For tags, it depends on what's bothersome about it. If it's just the feeling of it touching you independently of the shirt, you can just sew the bottom of the tag to the shirt, or you can sew all round the tag to make it extra secure. If it's the tag in general, I suggest buying a seam ripper and popping the stitches keeping it in. Then just take that out and sew it back up. At most that's only an inch to sew, and even if it doesn't look pretty it's not like a lot of people are going to see it.

the only solution i have for feeling choked by crewneck teeshirts is to either wear an XL or to not wear them. which is too bad because all my concert tees are crewnecks.

Well, for those who can sew/know someone who sews, the neckline could probably be altered? That or you could stretch it out some way, like stretching it over a rolled up sleeping bag or something and then just leaving it like that for a long while. Probably something sturdier than a sleeping bag would be better though.

@pixels I cut the collars off. T-shirt fabric rolls instead of frays, so this gives you a nice stretchy sort of almost boat neck. I like my tshirts one size too big anyway though.
