*BREAKS DOWN THE DOOR TO THIS THREAD* LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT PEARLMETHYST. Like, okay. We've got two people who clearly clash here, but who genuinely care about each other, which is like, one of my favorite dynamics? And with all the character development they've both had, and considering the fact that they've grown closer again (since Giant Woman implies that they used to be very close), I can actually see them potentially having a genuinely healthy relationship at this point in canon! HOWEVER. I can also see them being utterly horrible. Like I said, they've clashed a lot, and even with the development they've had, they're still both less than healthy brain-wise, IMO (cough cough especially pearl cough). And they have very similar issues in some regards, which could be either something they could bond over and help each other with or something that could cause them to come to terrible blows. Or both! Just. I'm sure I have more to say about these two and how many delightful directions they could go in, but just...Pearlmethyst, man.
While I'm glad Hussie didn't go the cliche route of pairing up the beta kids in canon, far too obvious, I think pairing them up is adorkable. Special love for Guns N Roses and sedoretu shipping. They love talking to each other in any combo and they're all so geeky-cute and happy to be with each other and I cannot get enough of their dialogue.
Spoiler: TLJ I like how soft TLJ made Rey and Kylo Ben's dynamic. Like, previously a lot of people had written it as very "slap slap kiss" snarling and snark, but TLJ had Ben being super gentle and patient with Rey, to the point where he's the one she turns to when she has her little darkside vision quest. And Rey's like, protective and passionate and aggressive about him, and it's great. Rey's willing to fight Luke she's so mad at him for the almost attempted murder thing, and then she's so certain Ben'll follow her lead that she mails herself to him in the middle of a pitched battle. I super didn't expect my secret favorite Reylo dynamic to be like an actual thing in an actual film, and I'm very happy.
I'm not a big fan of the ship in redrom but I recently found some TavDave blackrom and it's adorable. Snarky rap battles and annoyance at typing quirks go!

I have never seen any content for this ship but I'd love some Porrim being caliginous for Rufioh, whether or not it's returned. The resident Ethical Slut would be SO resentful of the dude who's unfaithful and wishy-washy about cutting off a toxic relationship, and they're apparently the two hottest trolls.

Spoiler first off, enemies to friends to lovers is................yes please mm mm sign me the fuck UP and then, like, you've got these two deeply traumatized dudes, who reacted in EXTREMELY similar ways to said trauma while outwardly appearing as different as could be. karkat is loud and fronts this persona of someone who's angry all the time to hide that he's not the brave leader, he's fucking terrified and he hates himself. dave shuts down his emotions, puts on this cooldude act, because he's just as scared and he desperately wants to be someone worthy of affection, and can't believe that he is. and once they get to know each other and realize, oh shit, this dude Gets It, they can really start to get close to each other and i just. they're BOTH traumatized as hell and help each other work through it, i just! god! and like, dave's canon triggers are metal sounds and blood, but it seems reasonable to assume he might be made uncomfortable by things that remind him of bro (silence, violence, moving around unnoticed), and karkat is like...shit at all those things. karkat hasn't walked around quietly a day in his life. karkat is likely also triggered by blood and things that remind him that culling was a very real possibility, and dave is red. his eyes are red, his text is red, his blood is red, his clothes are red. that's a big neon sign going "i'm just as off-spectrum as you are, you're safe with me." not that they wouldn't ever trigger each other accidentally (they absolutely do), but it gets me in the heart that they're both so well-matched for each other. ;~; and i LOVE that despite that they're still snarky, snippy assholes who use insults as pet names and take conversational potshots at each other. it's a really, really fun dynamic with some incredibly fun characters and i love them a lot.
Kurloz/Meulin has potential for being deliciously fucked-up and I've always wanted an AU with them as a gender-flipped version of Sinner and Pretty Poison of Nightside.

Okay, utter crack ships, but I'm now thinking of Applejack/Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle/Pinkie Pie, and Rarity/Fluttershy as healthy kismesissitudes. They're the pairs which I best remember butting heads and competing; Applejack and Rainbow in the race, Twilight and Pinkie over Pinkie Sense, and Rarity and Fluttershy over fashion. Not in the sense that they actually wish each other harm, but in the sense of competing and/or strongly disagreeing while still wanting each other to be safe and wanting to stick around together.
