On the one hand, less stuff worthy of the Tumblr.txt thread. On the other, half of your fandom experience consists of desperately begging other people to read/watch/play the thing so they can join you in this pit because you desperately want more people to talk to. Post your tiny fandoms here!
I read the first Bartimaeus book years ago, but never finished the series. Mine: Lots of video games and books of varying levels of obscurity, but The Special Interest (as indicated in my description :::PPP) is Radiant Historia, an obscure and very underrated JRPG for the DS about time travel.
The Secret World! Good game, great characters, great story, even a good Tumblr fandom. We've only hit Tumblr.txt levels twice and one of those was the official forums. The Saga of Edda-Earth. By "small" I mean the fandom literally consists of me and @Nochi. I had to make icons for it bc there was no one else to do it! please read these books, we're desperate over here
I have them on my to-read list, but I'm working through part 1 of that list right now (which was like 25 books, so) and haven't gotten to part 2 yet
Drowtales (though, weirdly, Kintsugi has a whole 3 other people who've read it which is the most I've ever seen outside of the Drowtales forum and livestream) and Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha! Some weird stuff (never watch the transformation scenes,) but god it was my first fandom and I love it deeply and dearly.
100 Good Deeds for Eddie McDowd Poor Seth Green is still a dog, somewhere. Also I'd sell my soul for a DVD release of the series
I read the Bartimaeus trilogy, and in fact I reread the first book a year or so ago - haven't revisited it since, but I remember liking them. Also, Lumberjanes fandom is so small that for quite some time I was sad about there being literally zero fic on AO3 for it... until I finally wrote some myself. Even then, for a while (like, nearly a year) the only fic present was mine. The only other fandom I'm in that is even close to that tiny is Order of the Stick (which I'm aware at least a few people on Kintsugi also read), and even that's not that tiny.
i knowww especially with that last episode in season three, we were just getting into backstories and stuff
Right? And it was such a clever show, and with such good actors, and I loved Elise (and all the characters, I mean, but Elise was such a good Female Character who was allowed to be weird which was unexpected given the established tropes for a series like that) And then we had like two years of the creator going "No, it's not cancelled, it's just on hiatus" and then one day woops, it's cancelled after all, sorry UGH
Of course it's Dan's fault. But yeah, it was an odd show for The Hub and I was actually surprised it got as many episodes as it did. Still, it wouldn't be the same if it was made for "adults" or even teenagers, I think. I wouldn't want to see it picked up by Adult Swim or something, and that's not just because I hate almost everything Adult Swim has put out in recent years
i meant dan* as in imposter :p but yeah it really is surprising. they never did anything that went above that pg rating but considering it came from the same channel as MLP you'd never expected it to get a green light in the first place, never mind threeish seasons.
i was trying to find a gif of when he dressed as mr mumbles and snuck into dan's apartment to express full creepyness but small fandom so i don't think anyone's done it -_-
Oh god, I had forgotten about that I'm convinced, imposter!Dan was too creepy for the Hub and got Dan Vs cancelled. The fiend
