Finally getting around to posting an introduction. I know it's not necessary (which is kind of why I've waited so long to even do one, I've been here since about the beginning of April) but I'm trying to work on being more social? I go by a lot of nicknames and such, the most common of which is Jas (or some derivative of that). But honestly I don't care what anyone calls me, lol. I love nicknames. I'm an asexual dfab trans man, just recently turned 23, still in college and working towards an English degree (before anyone asks, no I absolutely do not want to be a teacher), still stuck in a home with an abusive mom--but that's something for the ITA thread I have--and... hm. What else... I tend to be a huge hermit, largely because of some pretty severe social anxiety which I'm trying my best to work on but it's so hard without any professional help. I also tend to be highly analytical of everything (including myself, and I'm aware that this very often leads to overthinking things), and one of my favorite things to do--especially with my friends--is analyze movies/video games as I'm experiencing them. And though I haven't gotten to that point on the forums yet (I'm still stuck in the overly stiff/professional mode because I have a Mighty Need to come off as intelligent/credible), I'm a huge derp and very much enjoy being silly. :'D Things I like, in no particular order: Homestuck, Invader Zim, Aliens/sci-fi in general, Pokemon, dragons, Disney movies (especially Beauty and the Beast omfg), superheroes, Harry Potter, drawing/writing, Bats (and most animals in general tbh but definitely bats), AND MANY MORE. So uh. Yeah. That's me, mostly? *confetti*
Yassssss. I'm a huge sci-fi nerd and tend to do happy flailings any time sci-fi stuff is handled well. Like when first watching Babylon 5! So many happy times with that. And lol yeeeee Disney. Even if they've kind of messed up some stuff recently, I still very unashamedly love Disney |P
@raginghearts i've started watching babylon 5 with my family. we're currently on season 2. so far, i'm liking it. yeah. :D though i admit that i don't really notice it when they mess things up - or care, haha.
@unknownanonymous Aaaaah it gets so good later on! Not that it's not good to start with, but... yeah. So much awesome in that series. And so many ALIENSSSSSS that actually look like aliens I could die of happiness. Lol I tend to "notice" primarily because of tumblr, but... that's tumblr, so sometimes you have to take the criticisms with a grain of salt, lol. That being said, I do have to admit I'm mildly annoyed by a lot of the issues that have been pointed out about Frozen BUUUUUUT that's a discussion I'm not entirely sure should be gotten into, lol.
@raginghearts awesome! :D that does seem to be general consensus, based on what i've heard, it getting better as it goes on. aliens that look like aliens are awesome. and aliens that think like aliens. :D yeah, tumblr is really what makes me notice, when i do notice. and sometimes tumblr is absolutely ridiculous.
