So uh, I've been kind of confused about how I use spoons stuff—like, lately I've been going "emotional spoons" vs. "writing spoons" vs. "cleaning spoons", like they're coming out of different drawers, but is that even right? Or is it more that certain tasks take up more spoons out of the same drawer? SORRY it's just hard to explain sometimes to someone why I have the spoons to RP for hours but I can't handle their heavy emotional stuff for ten minutes, bluh. Does anyone have any advice for terminology and how to deal and think and, yeah? It's been bugging me for days...
Spoon Theory (in Baby-Speak) The Original Basically - you have a drawer of spoons. Some things take 1 spoon. Some things take ALL the spoons. Sometimes a little break will get some spoons back, but you can't be sure of it. So for me going to a meeting takes a lot of spoons, but eating some ice cream can get some back and then I can deal with hearing people talk for an extra ten minutes. Edit - so it's not so much where they come from but how many it costs per thing, and that varies per thing.
Hokay cool that's, kinda really helpful, a lot—sorry I sort of like having the words to wrap around the things and know they're the same ones people will be using if they look stuff up, you know? Same drawer, different cost. Cool, okay, thank you again
