So I know we got a thread for speedrunning in general but I kind of want us to have a thread for GDQ in general. And this year's SGDQ in particular right now. What is GDQ some may ask. Well, Games Done Quick or GDQ is a biannual speedrunning event for charity. Think of it like a public tv telethon, except instead of talent shows you got people playing games super fucking fast. Not sure if it sounds neat? Check out these people playing Tetris. Anyway this year's event is about to start! Starts in the morning this Sunday on the 3rd and it lasts through until the 10th. Check out this fucking schedule. Also if you're curious the charity the donations will be sent to is Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières. AND NOW. WE PREPARE TO GO FAST.
It is go time for the pre-show in at 9:30 AM. First run starts at 10:10. It's a Super Mario Sunshine run, which are typically fun to watch. Bunch of absolutely crazy movement with Mario! WE MUST. GO. FAST.
