edited 2/15/17 repurposed again. a thread for my writing. asking for help with time management, posting WIPs, etc.
It depends on how fast you tend to write, but for me personally, I think 500 to 1000 words a week would be a good starting point? And you can go up from there if you find that to be overly easy. You could work on something different each week, of course, or even multiple short things in a week! Also, this site has a lot of one-word/conceptual prompts, and I find it really helpful when I just need writing inspiration.
totally forgot about it actually, lmfao. at this rate I might have to ask someone to give me straight up fuckin... due dates, so I have something to put in my calendar and set up reminders for. actually yeah that sounds like a good idea. QUICK, someone give me a word count and a due date (I almost typed die and honestly mood)

I was about to say I can definitely do that and then I looked at the clock, looked at my steam library, and went also im updating the op to reflect like, what im looking for specifically, esp re: what i write and what my eventual end goal is with this, i guess :P
I am not good at looking for reaction images but basically my face the past week has been a great forced grin at budgeting bs at work followed by "what the hap is fuckening online" so whoops I just dropped off on my own vague attempts to write anything either. go team. do you have a specific fanfic you are trying to finish rn? do you have any sort of idea how long it might be to help break it up into parts to suggest a schedule for? (like... is it one-shot, is it Definitely Eight Parts, is it holy cow look at this sprawling mass of chapters, so many words, my god it's full of words)
i thought you were here to demand writing proof and i panicked for a second LOL uh yeah I have a fic i want to finish! (read: start) it's based off a roleplay I did and never finished, got permission to write a fic of before my partner, blah blah blah. it's easy in that regard because it's all right there, i just have to search for the tag and... it's somewhere in here (dont mind the theme, it was a redirect theme i had to change on a whim to see posts) plus a bunch of other other posts, since i tagged by username, but i know which one it is. i'll make my job easy and compile the posts in a word doc and dual monitor myself when i write. yay, simplicity! if only i could pull that off for all the other fics i wanna write x3 edit: for my own reference, the plot im referring to starts here

So, I've kinda abandoned this thread for reasons, b/c I realize that even being "forced" to write isn't going to actually make me do it. BUT, I'm writing of my own accord right now, and I'm actually a few minutes out from posting the roughest of all rough drafts on my vent, if anyone is at all interested in that.
