So apparently Tumblr Warframe bullshit just makes me think "I remember that being kinda fun years ago, I should give it another shot" and I've been playing it a lot with some guildmates (drag the newbie through places she's not supposed to be yet is a fun game) and having fun. I know at least a couple other people on here play it. Someone (I think it was @seebs ?) brought up the idea of Tenno and Warframes both having genders and how that might work and now I can't get that thought out of my head. I literally messaged a guildmate out of nowhere to ask if Tenno have gender (apparently yes, but spoilers). Also every time I see the word Tenno my brain thinks Temmie from Undertale which is hilarious to me.
Yeah, there's a quest chain ("The Second Dream") in which you get to actually find out what a Tenno is.
So my brother got me into this game recently due to informing me of the existence of a flamboyant hula hoop warframe. I'm having a lot of fun so far and the core gameplay conceit of "you are a magic space ninja, go kill stuff" is remarkably entertaining.

O wO A thread for me to enjoy!! Did you know that there is a Warframe that is two different "genders"? There is a masculine-looking form, and a feminine-looking one, and you can switch back and forth between the two while in your mission. Both have different powers, depending on the form you are currently using!! It's the ultimate genderfluid Warframe; I have mine coloured with Garnet's colours from Steven Universe!! Fusionframe!!

Ah, my bad!! That's Equinox!! They're one of the worst Warframes to farm for in terms of building, so I just bought mine from the market lol But so rewarding to play though!! It's cool being able to switch back and forth between forms to suit the battle!! Also precious kitty bab!! ;3;
Yep. Night Aspect helmet, chassis, & systems. Day aspect helmet, chassis, & systems. Plus, you have to go against Tyl Regor, which is a layered boss fight. It makes it all the more tedious.

I was very pleased, I managed to level aklato to rank 30 without once drawing them. A friend of mine said that a friend of theirs somehow managed to spend platinum on aklato. I don't understand how.
I have been considering playing this. I think I played it briefly once before. It seems to match up with several of my interests.
The Aklato are so shitty that you HAVE to pay credits for them. Your friend is a bus. You should definitely at least try it out!! There's not much to lose!! Well, except your soul. I gave my soul to this game after a week or so of playing. Now I'm pretty much permanently invested in it. I'm an in-game player helper and a chat mod. I get cool purple text and the burden of tossing stupid people out of Region Chat. I can always invite you to join my clan, as well, if you would want a bunch of friendly, helpful people to make friends with!!
@KathyGaele Since you can do literally anything with anyone at any time, Warframe's super easy to just casually pick up now and then to play with friends too!
So I just finished Second Dream. Spoiler: thoughts My tiny mutant psychic is the cutest omg, they look so ridiculous when they show up talking in missions it's great. I appreciate that DE did not remotely bother to gender-lock character creation. My Excalibur activating to save me in the last scene = FEELS Stalker secretly being also a child would explain so much about his naming choices. Grinding focus is going to be horrifying but fun, I can tell.
Oh man. Spoiler: sobbing DE didn't want to have to make them be gender-specific, which pissed a lot of cis dudes off, because they can't have Operators with giant titties. It was nice for me being trans and not having to feel like I had to align with a body type. The 'gender' lies in the voice, if you've a mind. But the thing is, they're supposed to be children. Young girls don't have defined breasts anyway, at least, most don't. I'm glad that DE was conscious of that. I mean, I headcanon my Tenno operator as being older, perhaps around my age, just so I can ship him with someone, and to make him more relatable to me. Who knows. Also, focus-farming isn't as bad as you think. It used to be a lot worse, but now they've implemented focus-sharing. You can pick up the little yellow orbs in missions to gain additional focus, as well as share focus from other players.
Hope you don't mind me. I got the new Oberon skin, and even though I don't use him, the desire to make him look as beautiful as possible was quite overwhelming. Spoiler: bby
Someday I will get Second Dream...but at least I finally found that relays have an upstairs so I can now do the two quests there. Oberon is a neat looking frame in general, I should make him next Current favorite frames list: Rhino Excaliber Ash Nyx Valkyr Everything else Banshee The only downsides to Rhino are the slow run speed and everyone getting weirdly judgy whenever you go down as him.
