Hallo, I'm Kijikun. I'm 34 and living in Texas, originally from Maryland. I've got two cats that are my babies even when they are butts. I wear Fairy Kei and Lolita fashion because it makes me feel cute and pretty even at my weight. I am one class away from actually having my degrees in History and English (with a minor in medieval studies and classical studies -- you couldn't major in these or I would have instead, I will try to refrain from being all LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THING when it comes to medieval history and obscure greek and roman cults)and have been for, oh, about four years. I'm recently diagnosed as autistic, DPD, w/ depressive disorder and social anxiety - but spent most of my childhood and early adult years being treated for ADHD and Bipolar II. Spoiler: because you want to see my face right?
I will concede "cute and pretty". Congrats on the autism diagnosis! And feel free to ramble about history stuff, that's always super cool. Like, people. They have been around longer than I have. They were always people. That is so neat.
Ahh my brother was a History major. He did his thesis on witches in medieval times. It was brilliant. There's something fascinating about getting a person who's passionate about something to talk to you about it.
The historical bane of my existence is that I will never be able to write a paper on the backlash against women binding their breasts (pretty much early bra-age so they could get shit done) because I have never been able to find the primary source for the church declaring that these binding bands would be turned into 'bands of ever burning hellfire' in hell. Because that would be the best paper name ever but I always refused to use the reference since I could not find the primary source. Well outside a possible reference in a manuscript in medieval Italian, a manuscript that any translation is either out of print or non existent. Also watching Holy Grail with me is either enlightening or annoying depending on who you speak too.
Aw, thank you. Thank you again! I got it in August after finally finding a place that would even do testing on adults and managed to twist mom's arm into paying for it. The Depdent personality disorder was a surprise, but you know. I feel this is when I should mention I once had a twenty minute conversation with Terry Jones about the historical facts of the witch scene in Holy Grail.
