I suppose that explains the one kudos at least. I was wondering what it was that person liked if there weren't any chapters.

 

I've had this bug hit me! Editing the fic fixed it, but it was also posted during that deadzone on AO3 when the bugs start happening with posting dates and the like, so I assumed it had something to do with the way the server was caching when I hit the post work button.

wait, is using the word slash considered cursed now? I know it's not used much anymore, but I thought that was more natural drift of the jargon.

In the author's defense, the next line of the summary was, "Machine translate."

 

It takes me back to the ff.net days, which is not a fun trip. ( I was there, Gandalf, I was there ten thousand years ago...) However, it's only a little bit cursed. As opposed to "HOMOEROTICS" in all caps, which. Um.

 

To me, "Slash" is not generally cursed, but "Attention: TEXT CONTAINS SLASH" on a fic on AO3 clearly marked as m/m is.

 

On the subject of curses, I was backreading WTF Tags threads on Fail Fandom Anon, and this made me laugh so hard I fell out of bed:
