Harvest Moon, Story of Seasons, and other similar games!

I already spoiled myself on the feels, because I was looking on fogu to see what the rival events were because I heard that you can't do some of them past year 1, and gdi you can't tell me that and not give me any details. But just knowing whose events it is is KINDA A BIG TIP-OFF what's gonna happen.

Then again, this isn't the first time I got the feels even though I knew it was coming.

 

Well, my DS is now fully charged, I started hoarding fertilizer for the summer. (the battery died right when I unlocked Mistel's white flower event and I have no idea when I last saved noooooo)

 

I managed to win all 3 of the first conquests!
...Now I just have to win the four current ones. Dammit.
(Hey, do conquests just stay there until you take them? Like, can a rival initiate a conquest for a field you're not leasing?)

 

Yeahh I fucked myself out of that range of events because I went in absolutely blind and by then it was too late. Even being spoiled is different from witnessing the event first hand, it's a tear jerker.

also idk if this is a problem for a lot of players or just me, but if I go too many days without saving in a row, the game has a higher chance of bugging out and turning itself off. So you'd go back to your last save. Most i've lost is 4-5 days because I wasn't paying attention, whoops.

And they don't wait. If you don't enter Versus Mode and try to take it and succeed, then the person will either re-lease the field themselves same as you do with the ones you now own, or they'll do a CPU challenge and it'll change ownership. I think you only get a day or so to challenge for it before the ! disappears. Once a field is owned by you, it's entirely yours till the lease expires and you renew it. ..But if you dally and don't renew fast enough, a challenger will try to take it from you. (how i was out most fields till year 2 whoops. now i just need the trees and the rice paddy once they expire. COUGH THEM UP YOU SPOILED LITTLE BITCH.)

 

I have no interest in the fields and would rather stick with my tiny field and build a ton of barns and coops xD

That will probably really make the game a lot more difficult but meh, if it can be helped I'll take the rivalry points from losing the challenge or giving up the field when they ask. Unless it's something like the rice field which is as far as I can tell, the only place you can grow rice?

The only rare fields are the rice field, and the mushroom/honey field. Everything else, yeah, you can just grow on your own farm. But as time goes on you might find yourself interested in spreading to other spots if only for more supplies than your farm can actually grow.

And fffff that's so cute.

 

I just booted up the game 'cause I'm planning on playing it to unwind before sleeping and I suddenly got excited because I remembered there are way more animal options on this game I mean I can have Alpacas and Angora Rabbits and Silkie chickens! And so much more! I wanna have all the aminals

 

omg I am so mad at myself I missed the fishing tournament because I wanted to get my farm chores done first and by the time I arrived there it was past 10am and I couldn't just go back to my last save because I had made too much progress since then that I didn't wanna repeat >:(

:DD I just got my got a few days ago and I'm thrilled. And the alpacas are so cute, once they have enough hearts they SWARM YOUR FACE WHEN YOU ENTER THEIR RANGE and jump around, it's so fucking cute (but annoying if you have, say, cows to tend in the same area. or literally anything. BACK, BEASTIES. BACK.)

and since he played with his ds for like three days straight i can have it pretty uninterrupted right now
started with girl!farmer file and played through tutorial week, am currently busy completing the second week and then I'll write the first letter.
Does anyone have an idea how to take pictures of the game? Otherwise I can draw Junior (who has spent at least the last week hanging out with Raeger, trying to eat cake aas cutely as possible)
i fuckin love how cute everything is. this game is like a kawaii-injection straight into my veins. I'm really really happy
(I'm also hoarding bees and honeycomb in the hopes of getting the respective field though idk when those become available?)

 

Luckily, you don't need honeycomb in this game to make honey! Just the bees, three per box max. You can check at town hall how long each field has left for ownership, and when the countdown is over and a ! appears, you can stake a challenge for it. You'd also get the mushroom logs for that challenge being won!

Aaaaand I don't know. ;7; Sadly. I wouldn't know how to post screenshots even if I took them.. :not technologically advanced.: I'd love to see Junior drawn tho <33
