What if starscream and roddy were in a rails with pails situation? Kust because starscream needs a damned moirail and of course he'd pick someone that wasn't exactly up to the task. This would probably be a longer fic, but what if megs was in severe denial about how bad things were with starscream, and he started courting both of them because, hey, he's a changed mech, he can singlehandedly make things ok with Starscream again. Starscream and roddy already have a thing going, and Starscream might have a long history of poly. Alternatively, what if megs enlisted starscream to help him win over rodimus, just like the old days (tm). (Again, that would take some wrangling, but you'd have the dynamic where one character is going along with something out of fear while the other thinks everything is fine). I know, i have so many feelings about Cy and his 'tailgate can do so much better then mex conviction. Hexs such a badass, but he's also so vulnerable. Thanks! When cyclonus FINALLY decides to propose, or talk about his feelings or just some equivilent of 'yes, tailgate is my boyfriend, we are a couple, i have put aside my feelings of inadequecy'. Only then can I add the third verse and give it a happy ending. Does anyone have any headcanons about how they'll finally get together?
Given that foreshadowing in 50-whatever, I'm pretty sure they're going to make us fear for somebody's life before it all gets resolved.
Alternatively, Whirl just picks up Tailgate and gently bops his mask to Cyclonus' mouth. The pact is sealed.
At this point, I'm placing my bets and hopes on Whirl. That, or Tailgate exasperating Cyclonus enough for it just to slip out.
The term "Pax ____" references the Pax Romana, wherein Rome imposed peace upon its territories and the neighboring lands via massive military force. The implication is that it's really just empire-building and suppression under the guise of "peacekeeping".
Spoiler: maqtrix junk Okay with the caveat that my typing is not my best rn Optimus Prims was alter4ed against his will to contain the matrix at either Sentinal or Zeta Prime's orders iirc, where his chest cavity was specifically modified to contain the matrix in IDWverse Rodimus had the amtrix fused to his chest when Megatron shot him (Zthrough the matrix) and it worked to save him and given thawt (in IDWverse at least) we have yet to see a Prime that was any smaller than an average (for a height of about 30-40 ft) tall bot and defintiely no minibot primes that leads me to think that while the matrix is smaller in large frames, it probably does not alter shape, and the chest cavity itself must be large enough to carry it while also being designed to hold it (either through modification a la the false Primes and OP or through spontaneously alteration at point of merging)
It's pretty late and I should be sleep, and this joke has probably been made before, but I'm laughing because I just remembered that one time I parsed the DJD as DSJD - Decepticon Social Justice Division. Would they be the cybertronian equivalent of antis? Does Tarn kill you by reading your callout post to you, quieter and quieter? Do they have a list of decepticons who have been accused of protophilia*? Hm... *a totally legit term for attraction to protoforms
Considering Tailgate is the shortest cast member aside from MAYBE Mims I am fairly sure that if Tailgate doesn't count nobody does.

Seconding ^^ Tailgate is shorter than Rewind in some shots, who is canonically a minibot, so I'm certain TG is also a mini :P
In some continuities, Micronus Prime is in the mix explicitly as The Tiny Prime. Recently, he played a significant role in the Robots in Disguise animated series. I'm not sure exactly what direction the mythology is going to go in IDW (not that I've had a good grasp on it in any continuity), but in some of them, it's like... the reason beastformers exist is because of Onyx Prime. In the same vein, in the mythologies of those continuities, minibots exist because Micronus Prime exists. Of course, IDW has the business with like, the Guiding Hand being the deities, and the thirteen primes being historical figures, plus we haven't gotten names for all of the thirteen yet (though I don't think they would change it), plus the line between religion and fact is deliberately mushy and unclear. But this guy is theoretically out there!
