I'm just really looking forward to the transcripts of those episodes, the website you used isn't working for me.

 

Thanks! I'll make a persona. Maybe I'll give the persona its own account since I'm not gonna call it mysubaccount.

Now I'm trying to decide between 2 ideas for the persona. One is silly and one is angsty. Are we doing silly? Should I go with the silly one?

 

But are we doing the kind of horror where things can get dark and angsty or the kind of horror where everything has tentacles and is spooky and dark?

I guess a lot of people here were also on the thread about writing dark things, so maybe I'll just go with the angsty version and hope it fits.

Hey, if I decide later I should've done the angsty one, are we allowed to have multiple characters?

 

I've got two and explained why there are two Lazs, no-one's complained yet.

 

Is there anything stopping someone from just posting a thread to start RPing in? Do we need a story or something or can we just play freeform?

 

People are still working out their characters, I don't think anyone has started to get. Some people want to do Skype, and I suspect we'll get a thread or two going here.

I for one intend to try building the library in Minecraft, if and when we have a server there. Practicing with sacred oaks in single player. :p

 

Skype doesn't work for me for RP - words are hard and by the time I have parsed them and then made a reply things have moved way beyond. Sometimes (okay, most) this thread goes too fast :).

 

Yeah, Skype seems like a bad choice for this group. I don't want to, Lissa and a bunch of other's can't. I hope it's not going to be necessary to keep up!

*whiny kid voice* I wish we could start RPing now! Even though I'm worried I won't be any good at it because there's so much worldbuilding already and I don't know if I can remember it all.

 

I suspect one of the soft horror elements, like with the living library and changing cathedral, will be a kind of... Malleability to the setting. Things can and will change, sometimes.

That said, if I find myself really in need of a fidgety organize task in the next few days, I may binge read the thread in reverse and make a list of proposed setting details. Reference guide and all.

 

Purrposal: Since we can´t have all of kinsugi using one RP thread, and since Space!Kintsugi is kinda decentralized anyway, why don´t we say any bunch of people who have a story idea can make a thread? (And also anyone who want´s to RP on skype, do come on over). This way instead of trying to organize a huge thread, we can just have a collection of tiny ones with variable levels of angst.

 

Wes, when it goes to the temple, usually just hangs out with whoever is already in there.
It sort of wants to approach the humans and other corporeal life forms and ask them questions but it's not sure if that is rude or not?
When it's alone the room it prays in seems to be entirely made out of corners and shadows, however that works.

 

Cody holds funeral services for irrepairably broken robots, which are open to anyone.

 

Pretty much whoever wants to rp via forum I would say is welcome to make threads for it. Its such a large setting and there is no story so just doing a thread for your character and having people join as wanted works just fine.


I picked Skype because I can't forum rp. I can't write enough at a time to justify it, because my rp style is very to the point. I don't do post fluffing like most rps on forums do.

 

@Scheherazade - does a direct link work for you?

I'm not sure how much I'd participate in RP but I definitely think forum RP is a good way to go. Like @Void said, there is so much world to explore, I don't think anyone is going to step on anyone else's toes (and if we get conflicting anything, well, I'm sure we can make it work XD).

@Snitchanon did a few excellent world-building posts maybe ten pages back that might be good to grab, @swirlingflight - I can also send you the stuff I sent Void, if you like: I trawled through and collected everything a couple weeks ago (?) for episode ideas and continuity. It hasn't got the temple stuff in it yet, though, nor the specific map stuff that we talked about when Void was starting to build the RPG Maker version.
