Hey, I've got a question for you people: which is worse, Magic Fanfic Poison or Magic Fanfic Aphrodisiac?
Magic Fanfic Poison. Mostly because at least the latter can just be excused by "look, I've got a thirst and just want to get from point A to point D as fast as possible", and there's so many interesting and dangerous poisons that actually exist in reality! Or even in setting! And diseases as well! Don't lazy out on that, go on a Wiki crawl and find something cool, or at least use heavy metal poisoning.
magic fanfic poision, mostly for the same reasons as listed above. and also because i'm pretty sure there simply aren't substances that do what most fanfic aphrodisiacs do, whereas there are poisons who kill people in suitably gruesome or unnoticeable ways
I am also in the magic fanfic poison camp, because it shows such a lack of creativity. Taken on balance, most of the world is poisonous, and you couldn't think of anything?
And then there's the legendary "posion" from Legolas by Laura, which does not appear to do anything at all. :::PPP
