A rug is better than carpet, which we had in one of our old houses. At least you can take out and clean or replace the rug.
Speaking of shower stalls, i cant decide if i love those ones with the "natural" floors or hate them. Theyre neat in theory but having dirt and plants and rocks and shit inside your shower seems impractical and screams BUGS AND MOLD PLEASE COME HERE
yeah its a loose rug thank god id die if it was carpet speaking of which we also dry our sheep skins in the shower which means sometimes theres farm stank while ur cleaning urself
The bugs are supposed to be part of it, the goal is to create a living ecosystem with zero waste water. Mold should not be an issue unless you're doing it wrong (plenty of people who don't know wtf they're doing and just see the thing and want to copy it are going to do it wrong tho).
thats from a 2 room house and the other room is entirely tiled and about the size of a bathroom big enough to fit a shower and tub
bugs in shower??? Spoiler: implied nsfw ish what noo i dont want bugs all over me while naked things could go very wrong
They generally don't want to get pelted with shower water and will move away, so you're usually good :P The pain in the butt thing is you can only use certain kinds of soaps though.
i read that as "for the pain in the butt thing, theres soaps for that" and i almost had a heart attack idk how i feel having an audience while showeing tho its weird
As someone who hates camping (I have my reasons) and would actually really love living in a black-and-chrome evil lair, I confess the idea of a living ecosystem in my bathroom gives me screaming heebie-jeebies. But I can see how it could be really cool for people who don't feel that way and actually know what they're doing. Anyway, somewhat relatedly, we all know about this blog, yes? Good.
Yes, oh my god. I feel like I would be remiss to not include this poor poor victim of an overly enthusiastic interior designer who has no innate skill or training.
Oh my God. Oh my God. WHY. eta: I mean! It's like something the witch in Hansel & Gretel would've tried as a first draft.
