<3 anything with Miracle Child and anything with Lydian =D --------------- So I saw someone mention irl RP in one of the other threads? How exactly would that work? I'm wondering if it's the same as what I had in mind. I really like RPing, but the only experience I have is some casual script rp that started out as us just typing what we're doing all the time in a fictional setting (magic castle, ahoy!) which eventually turned into characters and plot, but still script. I am super nervous to do what I think of as "real rp" and I would jump at the chance to do something casual and not as presurey so I can eventually work my way up to something like Boat Trolls.
Since this is apparently interesting I might as well mention it in the right place. https://kintsugi.seebs.net/threads/is-this-setting-of-interest-to-anyone-as-an-rp-setting.174/ Because apparently this is the right place to suggest rp settings. Anyone want a jamjar that is kintsugi if kintsugi were an rp setting instead of a forum?
Oooo yeah that's the kind of thing I was talking about (albeit more story/worldbulding but that's not a problem). I'd totally be up for that. (Time permitting of course xP)
We have a sort of IRL thing in deamon RP. Everyone is ourselves with some gender fixes and deamons, living in a college town.
Do we have something that doesn't mean you have to be yourself or know about all these fandoms everyone is rping in?
I was trying but I'm kind of stuck/not sure how to move from a couple of people said it sounded interesting to doing it?
I've been contemplating a few ideas but [screeee wrrrr ktung ktung]. Maybe once I can think clearly I'll toss out a few non-fandom ideas.
https://kintsugi.seebs.net/threads/is-this-setting-of-interest-to-anyone-as-an-rp-setting.174/ The idea, which, I'm not sure how original this is or if it really is interesting and actually I'm just here to test the subaccount feature, but the idea is this: there's this island, basically mediterranean sort of climate, maybe the size of a small town. There are two magical things about it. First, that it's impossible to see or locate if there are inhabitants who don't want you to see it. Second, that it was populated by this magical benevolent force that snatched people up out of horrible situations by magic and dumped them in another universe with less horror. So they have to figure out how to live with each other now, and how to be less bad than their home societies. And what they come up with is that their society's "mission statement" is basically that they know things sometimes suck but they'll make beauty out of everything they possibly can and make it possible for people there to enjoy life. Even if they can't fix the whole multiverse they can have their literal little island of beauty. And that's as far as I've gotten.
Aha, the jamjar! I remember seeing that now. So, a mostly optimistic game where characters learn to heal and work together? Maybe a vibe of hurt/comfort as they confront the bad habits of their old lives, and support each other?
Yeah, and maybe also there's building new society/relationships/habits that work better & are healthier than what they knew, if people want that?
Kintsugi the tropical paradise. :) I will have something more coherent when it is not after midnight.
If someone wants a more adventury RP, we could steal the underground city under a city trope and run off with it.
Ahahaha. No I had thought as a separate thing, so some people can do fandomless hurt/comfort, and some can do fandomless adventure.
How hard would it be to do both at once if the h/c storyline has people trying to settle on an island they've never heard of before? Not sure the two groups (that like adventure and h/c) have so little overlap.
I think the two themes might clash, that´s why I suggested separating them. People who want to play character healing, who have characters that might need a lot of peace, might not appraciate a bunch of running around and explosions. Because there seems to be an intertest in adventure games (fantrolls) and H/C (deamon RP, island RP) I was thinking there should be a fandomfree version for both.
