They live with the rest of the court and spend their time working odd jobs for the king or helping their sister do any jobs that need an extra set of hands. Human father Clint tries his best and is somewhere... probably? It weirds him out that his son ages so slow. Occupation: Pickpocket, because writing resumes is hard. Also, he can teleport, so robbing banks is easy (and the tellers aren't paid enough to car). Brief Backstory: Has been some kind of activist for thirty years now (most recently, robbing banks for almost altruistic reasons), the recent goblin fruit influx has taken all of his focus

Can't shapeshift--they look somewhat like the middle of an animorphs cover all the time. Age: Old enough. Looks maybe 30. Allied with: none Rank: n/a Family: Dead or otherwise not worth mentioning. Occupation: Assistant medical examiner. They work through the night and handle The Weird Cases. Almost definitely did not get this job through entirely legitimate means. Brief Backstory: Tends not to stay in one place very long. They've been in Detroit for a few years now, though. There's been a spike in Weird Cases lately, bodies found with goblin fruit in their systems, and Sorrel wants to know what's going on.
Everything is going to be fun. Also, everyone got an invitation to meet at like 3am at a Denny's. Because that's how all epic quests start, probably.
Ophidian believes that the dead changeling is the one who received the invitation, though this may not necessarily be the case.
ugh, the wiki has nothing on it, but there's a huge social taboo among the fae about thanking people. a lot of changelings struggle with it, but purebloods generally don't ever use the words "thank you" unless they're in Very Serious settings
@Aish question: what is the nature of geases in this universe? i am aware that they can be placed on people, compelling them to either complete a task or die, but there isn't really any further information on them in the wiki
so, geasa can mostly bind people to do tasks or to not do certain things under some punishment, or make it impossible for the person to do that action. more complex ones have a mechanism to tell the binder when the bound person breaks one or comes close to breaking one, but the only person we've seen in canon do that is a firstborn. geasa are strengthened by blood and are part illusion magic, and part blood magic (sometimes, depending on how they're cast), so the daoine sidhe are some of the best at them. but any race with illusion/flower magic or blood magic will have some skill with them. there might be another way of casting them that doesn't involve either blood or illusions, but the Luidaeg hasn't given any explanation about how she does her work when she isn't using blood so that's all I have @Ghost Fox, did I miss anything?
