i'll expand my search to liquid lipsticks then, and im still open to specific recs because im a dumbass who doesnt understand what products are good quality
jeffree star's velour liqid lipsticks are the absolute best, quality wise, come in an astonishing color range, and are very affordable, especially if you're in the US and don't have to fight retailer picking from collections and/or customs with a leg of ham. Depends on if you want to get involved in any kind of drama tho, i know some folks don't wanna support him because of various Incidents, but it's. like. the best Performance:Price ratio i've ever had and it's all eyesafe and cruelty free so even if you decide any given lipcolor's too wild for the lips you can wear it as eyeshadow/eyeliner
If you want a more affordable option, Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink is my go-to. It doesn’t come in as many wild colors, but there’s a pretty solid range of reds/corals/pinks/nudes and a few purples. I think a dark blue too? I’ve had excellent luck with that line—it’s pretty fucking pigmented (a lot of the colors only require one coat, though the darker ones can sometimes require two or three) and has the best damn staying power of just about any lippie I’ve used. You can find ‘em at just about any drugstore, and they’re about 8-11 USD (depending on the store).
There's also the Shoppers Drug Mart option: NYX liquid lipsticks. From Sephora, ABH is good and their own brand isn't too shabby either. If you want something shimmery, there's also Kat Von D glimmer veil which completely dries down, but uh. I only buy that from Winners due to personal reasons. Note: all of these are pretty opaque but again, they don't move.
alright so I'm on VestQuest 2020 does anyone know where it might be possible to find a masculine but well fitting vest that will fit an extremely busty guy with or without a binder because I know they exist cuz I wore one last night
Time, mostly. I don’t know of any ways to make hair grow faster (are there any? genuine question for y’all), but do take good care of it in the meantime. I also recommend against doing anything that’ll damage the hair (such as bleaching it) as you’re trying to grow it, of course. Also, while the whole “getting your hair trimmed will make it grow faster” thing is unfortunately not true, it WILL get rid of split ends, which is nice once it’s grown out a bit! Healthy hair Good.
any recommendations on finding my shade of foundation online? I havent worn foundation (or much makeup) in literal years, buying in store isn't as much of an option because by the time i reach the aisles I'm red in the face and exhausted, and generally online would be easier for me. im starting classes in january and bc im gonna be out and about im investing in some beauty stuff for time and effort, but idk where to start for this one for sure. :Uc
Along with like just letting it grow and getting the split ends trimmed, i found when i was trying to do the same thing that there is an Awkward Stage like your hair is too long to look like a neat short style, but its too short to Do anything with like put it in a ponytail the consensus i found at that time was "it kinda sucks, you gotta just push through it and wear a lot of hats if you don't like it at that stage" so remind yourself that it will in fact get better once that part is over At your next haircut you might tell your person that youre trying to grow it out, so they can try to trim it in a way that will look okay as it grows out
Do you remember which foundation you used to wear? Do you still have the same skintone or are you darker/paler than you used to be? Are there makeup wearers around you that have similar skintones? These all help finding your shade online. Temptalia has a foundation matrix that lists similar foundations, and if you can ask someone with a similar skintone which brand/shade foundation they wear it would also provide a good starting point. There would still be Matters of undertone and skin type, but it helps!
Oh, and if you want brand recommendations, colourpop has a great shade and formula range for their foundations/tinted moisturizers/ concealers, their products are generally good quality and their prices are VERY reasonable.
;v; i don't live near makeup users with similar skintones, i don't remember what i used to wear bc its been like ten years, and im about the same skintone if not paler.. ill keep this in mind though!
It's ok! Those things would help narrow down the choices, because it can get real expensive otherwise. I'm in the same boat as you, because I'm a pasty bitch in the tropics, my favorite foundation was discontinued and no one stocks the palest shades here. What you can do is look at LOTS of pictures and shop at places with a good return policy, like Sephora. Foundation listings usually have pictures of models wearing each shade, so I'd look for one that looks mostly like my skintone, and then Google pictures of other people wearing it - makeup selfie subs are good for stuff like that - and once I found one I liked I would still purchase one shade lighter as well if it was available to test against oxidation, and then return the foundation that didn't match. (I would do that if I weren't in the extreme of the scale and automatically falling on the palest shade of everything.) What you can also do is buy bb/cc creams or tinted moisturizers, which have a lower coverage and are thus more forgiving when not being an exact match; they usually only have fair/light/medium/dark as shade options exactly because of that.
BIODEGRADABLE GLITTER!!! Oh my fucking God I am so excited over this, I don't even makeup!!! I am like bird, must have shiny and colorful!!! Sparkle sparkle
... I've no doubt she's the first to do eyesafe bio glitter at a makeup grade but like biodegradable glitter for bath and body stuff like soaps has been a thing at lush and multiple soap wholesale suppliers for uh. years.
Yeah, that's 100% a puff piece from Vice, and the glitter looks kinda coarse too. Eco stardust does cosmetics grade biodegradable glitters in a range of sizes, and they've been round since 2017, so....
