I have now been bitching about this four days straight on Discord, DW and Tumblr but like. Genuinely I feel like there's something sinister about how little m/m fic I'm seeing in literally all of my fandoms that are five years old or younger

 

They should invent a fandom with better taste.

To be clear, I am in fact still talking about RPF. However, I did document myself having this exact issue with TFP so fandom having bad taste is timeless and transcends media.

And then like a week later I'm randomly watching stream highlights and get jumpscared by one of them from MY SHIP, THE ONE THAT DOES NOT GET WRITTEN EVER, referring to the other as his boyfriend.

Anyway I am now writing fic out of protest for My Ship being underrepresented but I am also at any given moment like five seconds away from complaining about The Other Guy being mischaracterised because everyone is fooled by him being a literal prettyboy and don't realise he's a furry little bitch gremlin who exists to cause trouble on purpose. Loadbearing foxboy nuisance. Release me from the hell where he's a softboy bottom with confidence issues and deliver me to a land where he's written More Correctly as the little meddlesome troll he is. I'm even fine with him constantly being written as a bottom because I would also like to rail him because I do have eyes and he is upsettingly beautiful. What was I talking about again?
