Popping in a month and change late to say that you are like, criminally undercharging for these. You could easily be charging twice as much for around half as much effort. And that's not just a compliment either, that's a statement of fact from a fellow commission-taker.

 

Nobody wants my art when I put my prices up though :(

Yeah, the art you're offering is really nice and the prices in your tumblr post seem reasonable. I don't get art very often bc I don't really have reliable income, and I think partly why it's hard to get bites on tumblr is that there are SO MANY people who do commissions? But I'm hoping you get more bites, or can set up something here, or something.

 

Thanks, I hope so too. I'm working really hard every day to get better, but I have to admit that on tumblr, especially since the update, it's a bit of a popularity contest.

 

@KathyGaele I've heard that Tumblr is actually generally shit for consistent commissions unless you're hella popular to begin with, but you might have better luck if you try joining furaffinity or something, assuming you don't mind drawing fursonas and the like? Furries, probably more than any other group, love spending money on commissions, and I've heard as long as you engage with people on the site, FA is much easier to get a following that's willing to throw money at you for drawings.

 

I have taken tentative steps onto furaffinity. I am always slow to learn new sites OTL
I plna on opening a redbubble store at some point to do stickers and the like wit. Thanks for the advice <3
