Have to say I'm fond of close-age too, where the only thing keeping them apart is "But--but we can't! M-my position! *sweats*" especially combined with a sexually aggressive student
I am putting my pitch colored eggs in the Jame<3<Bane basket now. Incest and weird blood based slavery and sexy fighting and arguing about values? AWW YEAAAAAH.
Pardon me what canon does a ship sounding that fantastic come from blackrom incest is possibly all I want
The Kencyrath books by P.C. Hodgell. Morven knows a lot more about them than I. I've only started on the things myself. Still they're lovely for this and many other reasons.
Thing that occurred to me today and I thought any Discworld fans in this thread might appreciate: Lady Margolotta gets played off against Vetinari, but please consider if she met his aunt. Middle-aged/old lady political manipulator kismesitude!
So, husband has been trying his damnest to get me to watch Game of Thrones recently, and I'm beginning to enjoy. Viciously hatred of the antagonists, and I'm scared my favorites are going to be horribly maimed or murdered, but at least I'm giving it a fair shake and he knows not to make me watch something beyond my tolerance level. I am really liking Cersei/Jaime. Like, this would be the sort of dark, desperate and 'two against the world' pairing I would normally like, but it's siblings. It's siblings and they bring out the worst in each other and Cersei is a hot dumpster fire without wanting to romance her twin brother and it's not even simply sex, but ill-fated romance with a side of horrible choices and incest children. I'm fucked. And I want to see more between Jaime and Cersei.
HELLO MY PEOPLE. AR/Dirk (With 'AR' being used to signify 'lil shit') and Hal/Dirk (With 'Hal' being used to signify 'lil shit who is trying his best') are my fucking lifeblood. Inject that shit into me. Endangered? Endangered. Problematic post-apocalyptic AR/Dirk robopronz.
Oh man though the trashiest thing I ever shipped was Voldemort/Hermione and I don't even know if I can explain the trail that led babu Kathy down the deepest crackship alley of ff.net
I think that was the gateway to it, I don't really remember. I do remember this huge elaborate AU though that I absolutely adored. I still can't bring myself to feel bad about liking it back then either, the writing was sublime.
I'm watching Linkara's latest episode and clearly we have all been missing out on the beautiful love between Lex Luthor and Doctor Octopus:
