I'm loving the reactions to Akagami No Shirayuki-hime on Mangastream, because MS started hosting translations like two-hundred chapters in, and so the readers there don't realize that the romantic leads of AnS go for like dozen-chapter stretches without interacting and are getting salty now that one of those parts has started.
i went in blind to Oreimo and so far it's been a weird balance of boring, obnoxious and entertaining. i think i'd like it a lot better if Kirino were medicated or tasered or something, but that's just me. :U im aware of season 2 and the light novels, so i'm not surprised by anything upcoming overall, but having finished season 1 I'm willing to watch part 2.
just finished episode 2 of Dr. Stone! I like it a lot so far, though the realistic science stuff makes the hyperbolic anime tropes feel jarring (that guy who killed a lion in one punch, for example). I hope they find a philosophy nerd to wake up soon because it's pretty clear they're gonna need one.
@vuatson stick with it! Even die-hard fans like myself feel the manga has a slow start and doesn't hit its stride till chapter 12 or so. And while I agree Tsukasa's monster strength is pretty out there, so is Senkus mind, so it kinda balances out. Spoiler: Tiny spoiler your wish will be granted before the end of the season!
finished oreimo the other day and... eh. wasn't that thrilling. had some interesting twists and the sister's obsession with games and stuff is honestly adorable, but it wasn't enough to really keep my hard interest. also, kuroneko is Best Girl.
Got through the Little Island arc of One Piece. Was really fun and I'm super hype about finally being in the Grand Line. The increasingly wild nature of the islands and villains is just. It's real good. There's been plenty of weird even in the East Blue but like. Baroque Works being the first bit of the Grand Line is showing just how weird that that place can be. In a world that was already pretty fucking weird. IT'S REAL GOOD SHIT. Also started on the Steins;Gate anime. 2 episodes in. Very intrigued by this. Might have to get the VNs, honestly. Because while I know it's considered the cream of the crop in terms of VN adaptations and while I'm having a blast with the anime I do feel that I'm going to need to read the VNs. Because wow this looks like a motherfucking thing. Chaos;Head and Chaos;Child I'll take a look at at some point too. Though I hear that I shouldn't bother with their anime adaptations at all.
Still watching Steins;Gate slowly. Also some other shows. Namely Dr. Stone, Fire Force, and Do you love your mother and her multi-target attacks. Reading Heroaca again to try and get current. On chapter I think 168? I really wish I had a parent that was willing to say they were proud of me and that they were going to attempt from now on to not be a shitty parent. Like fuck. Where can I get that instead of my actual parents who refuse to admit they have fucked up in any regard? Endeavor can you just be my parent instead because you're unironically less shit than my real father.
I am thoroughly enjoying Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. My favorite part so far is tanjiro's sword technique, it's beautiful. Also, emotional and still badass MC! There's no shame in being kind and emotionally available, and tanjiro's one of the kindest
Shinmai Shimai no Futari Gohan is so nice, but also bad to read when you're hungry. It's like what recipe blogs should be.
I love tanjiro so much,,, a good good demon fighting boy,,,,,,,,, But in all seriousness, my boy tanjiro reminds me of gon a bit, but with more self morals. I also very much enjoy it extending to even the demons, instead of a heavy black and white view.
I watched a couple episodes and then stopped. the premise was intriguing, but there was too much harem-y bs and general anime misogyny for me to really enjoy it. that said if you like competence porn I hear it really delivers on that front!
I only got a couple episodes in, but I don’t thiiiiink so? actually there was one moment in the first episode that was kind of skeevy Spoiler: v mild spoilers when MC is hanging around in the videogame world in the last few minutes before it became real, he runs into a female NPC that another player created and changes her personality programming from “secretly tsundere” to “secretly in love with me” as a joke, and then later she ends up being his #1 harem lady. she wasn’t sentient at the time but it still puts me off kinda. I don’t remember anything else but then it’s been a while since I watched.
watching hoshiai no sora. it's a pretty interesting little drama focused on a tennis club that seems to have a major theme of domestic abuse. cute characters
Beastars is actually??? Really good??? Like it's definitely a furry anime but like in an extremely intense zootopia way, also it's highschool Edit: Also extremely 18+
BEASTARS IS SO GOOD nad the second season was confirmed which i'm excited about!! the manga Goes Places so i cannot wait for anime fans to see it too
