    Don't google.
I will spare you the google.
Basically corrosive paste that supposedly treats cancer.
    Spoiler: It doesn't.

Well to be fair it will kill any skin cancer cells it comes into contact with. It will also kill all other cells it comes into contact with.

Yes but I would personally rather burn a hole in my face o.O

Just. A lot of these stories involve the people "prescribing" the salves telling the people, after their faces are already burning, to apply more salve.

    Why????

I had a growing and changing lump on my forehead that I was worried about and didn't have insurance at the time so I just cut out a plug with an exacto knife and slapped a bandaid on it. It healed up fine with hardly any scarring at all. Had a doc look at it once I got insurance and aside from being taken aback he said it looked fine.

    I mean fair.
I chewed off a growth on my finger (that was probably a wart, I don't think it was a good idea) and it hasn't regrown.
But I feel like there's still a difference between that and black salve.

Yeahhhh. And I mean, even if you're not using freaky chemicals, if you do it yourself, you don't know if you got everything. I say, as someone with a genetic predisposition to skin cancer who has an awful tendency to destroy moles for autism reasons.

Yeah. I wouldn't recommend this method, but at the GPs office we don't really do anything much different. Though our tools are sterilized and we have access to local anaesthetics which makes it slightly more pleasant. :P
