Walk accomplished, green tea acquired. Blllghhh. The tiny annoying gnats flinging themselves against my face can go away any day now. Nothing interesting to take pictures of today except for the historical center downtown--for a little while they had a display with this creepy porcelain doll that I avoided for a little while, and now I learn they have replaced it with a clown that makes popcorn and I honestly don't know if this is an improvement Spoiler: i mean look at this thing
dang iiiiiit i just made four sets of cheesy imitation crab with onions bars and four chicken tomato spinach bars and i was just finished filling them with egg when i realized I DIDN'T OIL THE PAN noooooooooooooo
oof yesterday was the pits, I had a giant, giant flareup over the weekend and my hands hurt and my feet were burning so I spent most of yesterday recuping and today I managed to get a walk in. Walking after a flareup always kind of sucks BUT I DID IT WHOOHOO. thank you god for audiobooks and music. Last week was really good for walking! I got to the point where my body actually wanted to--I haven't had that in a long time. Last week also had June 20th in it, which is a day I try to do at least a tiny thing to celebrate on because this year was eleven years since I moved out of Saint Louis and got to go on my first road trip and met my darling and a bunch of my dearest friends in person. It was a giant jackpot lottery winner sort of day, I don't know if I'll ever have another one like it but I do know that I'm gonna be grinning dreamily about June 20th when I'm 102. This year @Vast Derp gifted me some spending money 'cause I was broke, and I spent it walking around downtown and writing at the Caribou, and I nabbed some teeny three dollar earrings and a couple of dollar postcards for my art wall, and it was kind of like having a second birthday. X) It would have still been fun if I'd just dithered around downtown windowshopping, but getting to buy like six bucks of little happy presents and a really good mocha made it a really awesome time. And it was just nice! I hadn't really stomped all over downtown in a long time. I went in stores I'd never visited. Ragstock had all its pride gear on display and it made me really happy. I visited the fish store and there were KOI ANGEL FISH OH MY GOD. <3 I met a nice artist lady named Sharol Nau (she made absolutely sure I spelled her name right) and she let me take some pictures of the art installment she was making on the bridge across the river. And when it started to rain, @rorleuaisen was a saint and drove me home. (I normally woulda been fine walking in it, it was a really pretty rain, but I had luka's laptop with me and I didn't wanna risk it getting wet.) Spoiler: PHOTO SPAAAAM 8) From the 20th and also other walks: I just glanced down and there were teeny soldiers. I met this adorable old lady outside the co-op. 8) This bird was cussing everybody out. Also the shy daintpaws neighborhood kitty LOOKED AT ME TODAY!!!
wonderful things!! i want that purride tank so bad, you'll have to show me where it is when i can get out and about. and i like this new take on yarnbombing, was that the footbridge between the contented cow and froggy's?
Oh, it's at the Ragstock downtown, it's near the fishstore. If you want, we can go in and nab you one! They have a ton of other cute little pride things too, like sunglasses and hair stuff and stuff. Aaand nah, it's the one that's on highway 19! It looks really nice, she said she was kinda linked with the volunteers who plant flowers and hanging baskets downtown.
yeah, if you get a chance, grab me a XL or so, any colors but pastels. like bright colors or gray or white or black are all good.
the deep teal is an awesome color, and the astronaut spinny swings you got seebs is so adorable! thank you!!
Hiii. Every time I think I've seen all the details in the teeny fairy gardens, I spot something else:
Also the other day I did not see shy daintypaws neighborhood kitty but I DID see charismatic doofus neighborhood kitty, who shed all over me before promptly abandoning me in favor of the approaching jogger across the street: Spoiler: silly thing
RB: *sprawled in a cold bath with music and a book* Bea: RB: oh hi button what are y---AAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUGGGGGHH Bea:
Today I made a Baffler so my place won't smell funky when/if the maintenance dude installs my AC today. This one is loose leaf cinnamon tea + powdered chai set on a low simmer. It looks like it smells amazing; I wish my nose would work. 8C Dumb ol' anosmia.
