wwwow bea went to the vet today (I'd been noticing her scooting around a lot and also pooping less than usual and got nervous) and the vet looked her over and discovered that she had the biggest butt glands she had ever seen on a cat in her entire career

she was sort of amused and horrified

that's my bea

kitty is doing much better now at least, thank goodness x_x i'm glad this time it was something small and easily fixable. and bea is the proud new owner of a wee catnip butterfly because after today she deserves something nice and also PUN X)

HOLY CRAP IT'S SNOWING

 

I think we're gonna get more tomorrow though :D it was just a weensy little snow, barely visible against the windshield. the clouds had that really low full look to them 8)

Today is awesome because I found the one halloween candy I search for every year: those little chocolate crispy crackly orbs that are wrapped in foil to look like eyeballs. YESSSSSSSSSSSSS

 

Ohhh, those are good! The ones that are kinda like Crunch bars in orb form, right?

 

yeah! :D

 

Sometimes when I'm feeling bummed, I go on youtube and look up banquet scenes from One Piece. 8) (mild spoiler warnings for some earlier arcs for those who mind)

yeeeah you know stuff is awesome when it gets all blurry and chopper starts doing the little chopstick dance

 

Today I:

- Got my meds and flu shot (Good lord the arm I got the shot in feels like somebody punched me as hard as they could, and my shoulders are crackly too so it's kinda radiating all over the place, ow.)
- Did a walk and got a coffee
- Finished watching the end of American Horror Story: Apocalypse with Luka and OH I'M SO HAPPY
- Got to eat chicken veggie gyoza and apple walnut cake with chai tea

Today is also Penny Day, so each year I try and make it special. Man, has it really been seven years since her passing? It doesn't feel like it. Every year I'm always sad that there are people I know now who never got to meet her. She was family. Now she's another part of October that I do my best to cherish and celebrate.

So yeah. It makes sense that today should be a pleasant mix of good-for-you self care and pampering.

I dreamed that I kept trying and failing to log onto twitter and thank all the people who upload youtube videos of themselves choosing the mean or unpleasant dialogue and action trees in videogames so the rest of us don't have to. So thank you, brave youtube LPers, you do us all a great service. 8)
